Persuasive Paragraph

If a Martian Invasion was ever going to happen in my lifetime, I would consider some factors to
decide to ght to hide. First of all, how technologically advanced are the aliens? The entire factor
of aliens could be at level of nuclear warfare, or simply be higher, at plasma or laser warfare, or
lower at WW1 style warfare. But either way, my biggest desire would be to hide and let the
militaries ght, and if necessary, stay on the home front, not the battle front. Martian’s also may be
clever than us, which would make it wise for normal people to stay at home and hide, in case any
people are takes as hostages. Or in case of the scenario in the text, i would have police, and the
townsfolk arrange barriers around the pit. This will stop the monsters from coming out until a
stronger force can be assembled. But then the gate will have to be made of a heat-proof material
to endure the heat ray.

Changed Scene
The ery wave of death swept across the landscape, turning sandy hills into red-hot grass. The
peace group was obliterated, the burning ag cleanly cut in half. I stood, frozen, stunned by the
destruction that was occurring around me at this moment. But just as I came to my senses, a
searing warmth reached my hip. The heat ray was almost on my body as I turned to run.
Suddenly, it touched me. My clothes were all on re, but it was the jacket that protected me from
the worst of the ray. Throwing o my clothes, I ran for the trees, where townsfolk threw water on
me. My skin was burnt red from the heat, but most of all, I was alive.

Sentence Work
Mark proceeded on with his day and watched his phone. He had not crossed any paths, and he
was trying not to. Enclosed in his o ce, he heard none of the busy tra c on the roads. He
anticipated the typing of keyboard, where he heard it millions of times. He ung himself onto his
keyboard and immediately started typing. His text reassembled a huge lecture that he had heard a
few days ago. His iced co ee substance was warm by the time he took his rst sip. As his hands
were recovering from typing the whole text, he read through some of his emails. As he read them,
he saw a major di erence to the thousands of texts he had been writing. He’d wager that almost
half of his texts needed editing. Using this opportunity, he decided to try and edit his last written
one. As shown on the emails, he tried to imagine what the nished product was. Mark nally
denied that he could use this strategy against his own writing. Later, he inquired to his boss that
he couldn’t use the strategy that he sent Mark. But after his boss informed him that he needed to
learn this, he was devoted to it. He was invulnerable to everything as he desperately learnt how to
use it. He eventually learned to harness the use of this device. He supposed that was because he
had spent countless hours on courses and learning the instructions. His mates reported that all he
did was respond to muttered questions by himself. Finally, he was ready to try his new skill
against his opaque text. And after a tremendous edit, he nally could use this skill against his own
writing.

Max responded to the question given to him by the teacher. Sweat streamed o his head like a
river, as he peered out the door at the clock. The bell rang, it’s sound rushing through the
classrooms. Max shot out of the classroom like a bullet, saved by the bell. There was no
resistance as a ood of students pushed over the threshold of the classrooms. The school dog
was nearly crushed to oblivion as is scurried to avoid the ood of feet thundering down the hall.
The tuck shop doors only delayed the inevitable as the door burst open, releasing students in the
lunch area, where tables were placed. Swirling rain and fog outside thundered, but no-one took a
second glance at the weather outside. Menacingly, lightning stuck outside, lighting up the sky.
Thousands of lights seemed to shine at once, before plummeting to earth.
