INSTALLATION
GUIDE

STEP 1 : Go to “Aspen-V14.2-ENG.iso” and download ASPEN V14.2
STEP 2 : Open the installation file and click on Setup, the window below appear
Use custom install and then click INSTALL NOW

STEP 3: simply click on Install aspenONE product as described below

STEP 4: Accept the terms of the agreement and click "Next." Then, select the Aspen products
you wish to install (it is recommended to select all of them) and click "Next" to proceed with
installing the prerequisites.

STEP 5: In this step, you need to add the license server with the address "10.16.140.32" for
UM6P. After entering the server address, click on "Add Server" and wait until the message
"aspen-slm.um6p.local" appears. Then, click "Next.

STEP 6: Type your own password and username and click Next.

STEP 7: In this step, you will need to enter the username and password associated with
your laptop account.
For example:
▪ If you have a UM6P laptop (for staff), enter "UM6P\name.lastname" as your
username, followed by your laptop login password (as described below).

▪ If you are using your own laptop, please follow these steps:

1. Select Start, then enter Control Panel.
2. In the Control Panel window, select User Accounts

Method 2: using Cmd whoami


1. Search cmd in start menu search box of windows 10.
2. Type whoami, and click enter

STEP 8: By clicking Next in step 7, the installation begins.


Nb:
✓ The Installation takes time
✓ After the installation is complete, click Reboot Laptop

✓ After the restart, launch Aspen plus for example and start your simulation.
✓ If you see the following message before starting Aspen, please don't worry. The issue is
related to your Wi-Fi connection. You need to be connected to a UM6P Wi-Fi network
that includes the license server. If you wish to work from home, please contact IT to
request access to the UM6P VPN.
