3. DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

A. PROBLEM ADDRESSED BY THE INVENTION: UV disinfectant robot

invention is the need for an efficient and effective way to sanitize objects and surfaces
in public spaces, particularly in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. Traditional
cleaning methods may not be sufficient to eliminate all germs and viruses, and may
require significant time and effort to implement.
By using UV light and a sanitizer mechanism, this work provides a more efficient
and effective solution for sanitizing objects and surfaces. The robot is controlled by
the Bluetooth module of HC05, detecting objects and people in its path and adjusting
its operation accordingly. Additionally, the temperature sensor and buzzer features
provide added safety measures to help prevent fire accidents and hazards. The
addition of temperature sensing and sanitizer dispensing capabilities further enhance
the robot's ability to prevent the spread of germs and infections in public spaces. The
UV automatically turns off in the detection of any objects or person and dispenses
sanitizer and if further it detects repeats the same process and in absence of detection
UV light is on and it starts disinfection. The UV light is adjustable such as by
adjusting the height of the UV light, the robot can effectively disinfect walls and all
areas of a surface and maximizes the disinfection process.

B. STATE OF THE ART/ RESEARCH GAP:

1.Previous models of the same UV disinfectant robot are having only UV light of wide range as
they disinfect the rooms by spreading the lights rays by controlling the robot and in our model
it has sanitizer sprinkler.
2.The Working model is having the temperature sensor to check the rooms temperature.
3. The LCD screen display is added to the robot to display the detected temperature on it.
4. This work includes the buzzer used as a fire alarm when temperature sensor detects high
temperature.
5. The UV light here in this work can be adjustable
6. The dust sensor is added to it air quality monitoring, PM2.5 and PM10 particles, real-time
data, and automatic adjustment of the robot's speed or disinfection mode based on the sensor
readings.
C. DETAILED DESCRIPTION:
UV disinfectant robot has been an excellent advancement to the present day technology
to keep surroundings clean without any human interaction. It helps to overcome the mostly
spreading diseases like covid-19 etc. basically these types of robots are increasing highly
worldwide in all type of medical fields.
UV disinfectant robot is a creative solution that offers a quick and easy way to clean surfaces and
items in public areas. In order to stop the transmission of germs and viruses, there is an
increasing demand for more effective and efficient sanitization techniques due of the current
COVID-19 epidemic. In this work it does so by employing UV light and a sanitizer mechanism.
A microprocessor, specifically an Arduino, is employed in the robot to regulate its motion and
numerous functionalities. The robot is equipped with an HC05 Bluetooth module, which allows
it to be operated remotely using a smartphone or other Bluetooth-enabled device. This robot is
useful in most of the applications like cleaning hospitals, hotels, Storage areas, Food factories,
Medical Service station etc. Ultraviolet (UV) sterilization technology is used to aid in reduction
of microorganisms that may remain on the surfaces after a standard cleaning to the minimum
number. A DHT11 temperature sensor is another component of the robot that measures the
ambient air's temperature. The buzzer is actuated to sound an alarm and notify users of the
potential hazard if the temperature rises above a predetermined level. This serves as an additional
safety precaution to avoid mishaps and dangers like fires.

D. RESULTS AND ADVANTAGES: The technical result of this work is Efficient and
effective disinfection of surfaces using UV light technology. Reduction in the spread of germs
and infections in various environments. Enhanced safety and protection for people in public
spaces. Reduced labor and time required for disinfection, resulting in cost-savings and power
consuming. This UV disinfectant robot invention has the potential to significantly improve
public health and safety by providing an efficient, effective, and safe solution for disinfecting
various environments.
Advantages:
1. Improved Safety
2. Consistency
3. Cost effective
4. Safety
5. Eco-friendly
E. ALTERNATIVES/ EXPANSION:
1. UV-C wavelength and dosage: The UV-C wavelength and dosage must be carefully
selected to ensure that it is effective at killing germs, while also being safe for humans
and not causing damage to surfaces.
2. The type of sanitizer used by the robot is also be an important consideration. It would
need to be effective in killing germs and safe for use on a variety of surfaces.
3. Detection accuracy.
4. Safety protocols and regular maintenance.
5. In order to ensure that the area is fully cleaned, the robot can automatically increase its
speed or switch to a different disinfection mode when the dust sensor detects high
quantities of dust particles. Additionally, the robot may give air quality data in real-time,
assisting users in determining which areas might benefit from additional cleaning or other
actions to enhance indoor air quality.
