BPM ICA 2201 Assignment Brief
BPM ICA 2201 Assignment Brief
Business
Semester: 2201
Module: Business Project Management
Module Leader: Marek Kocak
Level: 4
In-class Assessment: 40%
Due Date: 13th of April 2022
Rationale
In our professional lives, it is common to be given responsibility for a project. After
careful planning, and executing such problems, it is crucial to draw learning for the
future. It is therefore common to gather both primary and secondary data to draw
conclusions and recommendations which advise the reader of what to do on a
specific issue. Undertaking such projects requires us to utilize several key skills: self-
motivation, time management and personal responsibility. Therefore in this project,
you will have an opportunity to practice and demonstrate these key skills.
Situation/Scenario
To maximize employment chances for their graduates, business universities
increasingly focus on the skill development of their students, not only in lectures, but
by organizing events with practitioners, organisations, speakers and others. By doing
so, they broaden their students’ horizons, allow them to connect to businesses, and
for them to find their areas of interest to develop skills in.
Professional development of students is also a key theme of Prague College and its
School of Business. To further contribute to this, you will be given the responsibility
to initiate, plan, execute, and review a professional development project for you and
your fellow students at the School. Before being able to realize such a project
successfully, however, you need to carefully plan various aspects of it, to then be
able to propose your ideas in a written project proposal. This will also specify how
you will conduct research (based on the gathering of primary data from people) on
your project to draw conclusions concerning the planning and implementation of
future projects.
The final plan must be approved by the Module Leader before you can implement the
project and conduct your research on it. Therefore, you must create a Project
Proposal which outlines your plan for your project, the data collection and data
analysis.
Tasks
Prepare a Proposal for your investigation which includes the following sections:
5 – Produce a Code of Ethics for your investigation identifying the issues and
behaviour of the researcher during the research.
6 – Provide a complete list of proposed activities needed for your project realization
with estimated resources and the corresponding timeline.
