28. Case Study-1: Read the following text and answer the questions.
A square is drawn by joining the mid points of the sides of a square. A
third square is drawn inside the second square in the same way and the
process is continued indefinitely. The side of the largest square is 10 cm. 1
(i) What will be the side of second square? 1
(ii) What will be the length of the diagonal of 3rd square? 2
(iii)Find the sum of the areas of all the squares so formed.
29. Case Study-2: Read the following text and answer the questions.

After striking a floor a certain ball rebounds (5)th of the height from it
has fallen. The ball is gently dropped from a height of 100 metres .
(i) Find the height to which the ball rebounds in 3rd rebound. 1
(ii) Find the total distance travelled by the ball in first five rebounds. 1
(iii) Find the total distance travelled by the ball before coming to rest. 2
