due to lack of awareness, limited visibility, and minimal
representation on mainstream job platforms, leading to skill gaps and
underutilized career opportunities.”

Why this problem statement?

To address this issue, we propose JOBLENS — an online platform


designed to spotlight low-demand and underrepresented jobs by
leveraging technology to increase their visibility and accessibility.
JOBLENS will serve as a centralized hub where users can discover
unique and lesser-known career paths through engaging content, data-
driven insights, and personalized recommendations. By using features
like skill-based job matching, educational resources, and real-life
success stories, the platform aims to reshape public perception, bridge
the awareness gap, and connect individuals with meaningful
opportunities that align with their talents and interests — ultimately
fostering a more balanced and inclusive job ecosystem.
Modules and Technology Stack
1)Backend-(PYTHON) FastApi+SQLAlchemy+MySQL

2)Frontend-IDOM
IDOM connects your Python web framework of choice to a ReactJS frontend, allowing you to
create interactive websites without needing JavaScript
3) Authentication -Firebase (Optional)
To launch fast with ready-made login (Google login, phone OTP, etc.)
4)Hosting-Render/Railway
 easier to integrate with other applications
6)Real time chat/Messages -Firebase Realtime(easy)
Super-fast and easy real-time messaging without building your own server
7)Images-Cloudinary
 optimized, fast-loading images without building image handling yourself
Work Flow:
JOBLENS – Workflow Overview :
1. User Access via IDOM (Frontend) :
• Users interact with the website built using IDOM (Python-based UI).
• Actions like search, filter, and apply are sent to FastAPI via HTTP requests.
2. Authentication (Optional - Firebase) :
• Users log in via Firebase (Google/OTP).
• ID token is sent to FastAPI for validation
3. Backend Processing (FastAPI + SQLAlchemy + MySQL) :
• FastAPI handles logic: job listings, user profiles, applications.
• SQLAlchemy interacts with MySQL to fetch/store data.
4. Real-Time Messaging (Optional) :
• Chat via Firebase Realtime DB (easy) or Socket.IO (custom).
• Enables fast communication between users and employers.
5. Image Handling (Cloudinary) :
• Users upload images (e.g., profile, job banners).
• Images are sent to Cloudinary → optimized URL returned → stored in DB.
6. Hosting (Render or Railway) :
• Full app (IDOM + FastAPI) is deployed and made accessible online.
• Firebase and Cloudinary remain cloud-hosted services.
