DAY 1
Topic: Time: 40 Mins Class: VI Term: I Week: 03
• Application of ICT devices in Manufacturing
Industries, Business and Daily Life.
• Advantages and Disadvantages of ICT devices
Book: TE New World of Computer
page (s): 09-10
Learning Objectives
By the end of this lesson students should be able to:
• understand the applications of ICT devices in manufacturing industries۔
• identify how ICT devices are used in business and daily life.
• discuss the advantages and disadvantages of ICT devices.
Teaching Strategies Lesson Resources:
• Brainstorming • Textbook
• Effective Questioning
• Expository teaching
Introduction/Warmup (05 Mins)
• Start with a quick Brainstorming session. Ask students, What are some devices or technologies you use
daily? How do you think they help you?
• This will lead into a discussion on the importance of ICT in daily life.
• Introduce the concept of ICT devices being used in industries (robots in factories, computers in offices) to trigger
curiosity.
Development/Procedure (25 Mins)
ICT Devices in Manufacturing Industries
• Explain the role of robotics in production lines, such as automation in car factories.
• Show examples of robots and automated machines in manufacturing
(https://drive.google.com/file/d/1puJS630ittE_3OXA5811oQx6qsUuAAfq/view?usp=sharing).
ICT Devices in Business and Daily Life
• Discuss the use of computers, phones, and other devices in daily life for communication, entertainment, and
learning. Talk about their role in businesses for operations, marketing, and customer service.
Advantages and Disadvantages of ICT Devices
• After discussion, write advantages and disadvantages of using ICT devices on board from the textbook pg. 10
and discuss with the students.
• Engage students in a discussion by asking: What are some advantages and disadvantages you can think
of from your experiences with technology?
Classwork /Tasks (05 Mins)
• Activity 1: Ask students to list five ICT devices they use daily and briefly describe their advantages and
disadvantages.
Wrap-up (05 Mins) Homework
• Conclude the lesson by reviewing the topic Application of • Ask students to write about ONE ICT
ICT devices, its advantages, disadvantages. device (e.g., a smartphone, robot,
computer) used in either business or
manufacturing, explaining its benefits
and potential risks or downsides.
Assessment Enrichment/Extension Activities
• Evaluate students’ participation in brainstorming and class • Ask student to brainstorm and write any
activities. FIVE applications of ICT devices in
Manufacturing industries.
Teacher Reflection
• To what extent have students comprehended the fundamental concepts of the lesson?

Subject: Computer Science
DAY 2
Topic: Recognise a computer and its external components Time: 40 Min
Book: TE New World of Computer
page(s): 11-14
Learning Objectives
By the end of this lesson students should be able to:
• identify the basic components of a computer system (Software and Hardware).
• recognise the different types of hardware components like the system unit, motherboard.
• understand the function of input and output devices.
Teaching Strategies Lesson Resources:
• Expository teaching • Textbook
• Think Pair Share • Computer System
• Visual Aids (Diagrams/ Pictures
of computer components)
Introduction/Warmup (05 Mins)
• Greet the class and introduce the topic by asking students about their prior knowledge: "What do you know
about computers?"
• Show a visual image of a computer and ask students to name the parts they recognise.
• Introduce the lesson by stating: "Today, we will learn about the parts of a computer and how they work
together."
Development/Procedure (20 Mins)
• Explain to the students about the software as the instructions that tell the hardware what to do.
• Further explain about the two basic types of software (application and system software).
• Explain the concept of hardware as the physical parts of the computer.
• Discuss the major hardware components (system unit, motherboard, RAM, ROM, storage devices, input/output
devices) and their functions.
• Show images of each component and explain each one's role in the functioning of the computer.
• Encourage student questions to ensure understanding.
Classwork /Tasks (10 Mins)
Activity:
• Divide students into pairs.
• Ask students to brainstorm and make a list of different hardware devices.
• Point students towards the list of storage devices you have listed on the board or students have jotted down.
• Ask the students to share their ideas regarding the storage devices
Wrap-up (05 Mins) Homework
• Conclude the lesson by reviewing the topic Recognise a • Ask students to Write a short paragraph
computer and its external components. describing the role of both hardware and
software in making a computer work.
Assessment Enrichment/Extension Activities
Students will be assessed on their ability to: • Ask students to Brainstorm and identify
• explain the difference between hardware and software. some internal and external factors
• explain the following components of computer system. affecting the use of ICT devices.
o Motherboard
o RAM and ROM
o CD and DVD
