Step 2: Praxis Exams
• Exams are administered by the Educational Testing Service (ETS) testing worldwide.
• Candidates and Moreland University need to receive copies of their scores.
• Use code 5951 to report to Moreland and 7076 to report to DC OSSE
• DC requires the PDF obtained from the test taker’s ETS account for the application.
• You do not need an SSN to take the Praxis exams. Leave it blank or enter 9 zeros.
• Please be advised that the Elementary Education content exam will be changing
test codes from 5001 to 7001. Please review the changes here.

Steps 5: Apply Directly on the DC OSSE Website
You will apply for a Standard First-Time Renewable License (4-year renewable).
You may review the ECIS Application Guide for further instructions.

• You are applying for a Standard First-Time Renewable License and your
subject area must match the signed F-1, Moreland transcript, and your
application.
• On the Add Selection Subject Area page, you must choose the main subject
area and sub-category area for the credential you are seeking. The remaining
fields are auto-populated based upon your selection.
• If your area is Prek-12, you will select “All Grades Education” for the main subject
area, and then your specific subject for the sub-category
• In the Program Verification section, the boxes reflect the information on your
signed F-1. Please use the F-1 as a guide.
• You are only allowed to apply for one subject area for the Standard License.
If you wish to add another subject area, you can apply for an endorsement with DC
OSSE. You may add the endorsement area as a second application in your ECIS
portal. Please make sure that the license type selection is "endorsement". You must
have the relevant Praxis tests for the endorsement area.
• You can find the DC OSSE license renewal requirements here. You may
choose from the PD courses or the test route. If you have any questions, please
