Course Descriptions
Mathematics plays an important role in human life. This course is built upon the
mathematical concepts, principles and techniques which are useful for business management.
The main objective of the course is to enhancing students’ competency in application of
mathematical concepts, in solving business management problems and to improve their level of
quantitative approach.

Course Objectives
The course will have the following objectives:
1. To enable the graduates to understand the role of mathematics and its functions;
2. To make them understand how to building and solving linear and quadratic equations,
types and their respective functions; and
3. To make them understand the concept of matrices, determinant of their applications.

Learning Outcomes
On the completion of this course, the student will be able:
1. To have understood the role of mathematics and its functions;
2. To have grasped how to build and solve linear and quadratic equations, types and their
respective functions; and
3. To have them understand the concept of matrices, determinant of their applications.

Grading Policy
Mid-Term examination 30%
\Final-Term Exam 70%
