ABOUT THE PATTERN
I have two sons: Andrey 5 years old, and
Alexander 3 years old — my little ones
inspire!
I learned to crochet in school. When my
first child was born,
I decided to crochet a toy for him. Since
then, it started and nothing can stop
it!
I have been crocheting toys for 6 years.
I wrote more than 80 clear and accessible
patterns.
I met a lot of needlewomen who
crocheted with my patterns from all
corners of the world.
I love hearing feedback and seeing
your toys made with my patterns!
Dear crochet lovers!

THE BEGINNING OF THE PATTERN
The size of the toy depends on the thickness of the thread and crochet hook that
you use.
When making toys, you should not use a big hook as recommended for the
yarn you choose. Make sure that, you crochet tight enough; otherwise, the
stuffing will show through the holes. The tighter the toy is crocheted, the neater
it will look and please you longer.
To indicate the beginning of the row, use a stitch marker (or a scrap of
contrasting-colored yarn).
Crochet the toy in spirals.
If it is hard to start crocheting into MR, then chain 2, and continue crocheting
the required number of stitches into the first chain.
Make sure you stuff the toy gently. If you use too much fiberfill, the toy's size
may change. Also, make sure that the part takes the desired beautiful shape.
MR - magic ring.
SC - single crochet.
INC - increase (2 sc in one stitch).
DEC - decrease (2 sc together).
SL ST - slip stitch.
CH - chain.
( )* - repeat the required number.

Rnd 57. (dec) * 6 (6)
Note! Stuff the head well. It should be square on top and with nice cheeks, as
shown in the photo. To make the cheeks plump, use a long needle to distribute
the fiberfill in the lower part of the head, pushing it closer to the sides of the toy.
Distribute the fiberfill to the forehead to make it voluminous with corners.
This step is important! The look of the toy depends on it.
Complete stuffing the head, and tighten the hole through 6 front loops.
Fasten off and break yarn.

The muzzle sculpting "Donkey”
Use a double jeans YarnArt Jeans yarn for head tightening.
Take a long needle with the thread and insert it at P1 on the bottom of the head
parallel to the right eye between rounds 34 and 35 (photo 32), leaving a tail.
Draw it out to the top of the eye at P2 (photo 22), at the level of the half of the eye.
Grab the stuffing material firmly, insert the needle on the other side of the eyes at
P3 (photo 23), and draw it out at P4 (photo 24).
The distance between P1 and P4 is two stitches.
Tighten the thread firmly and tie it into a knot. Tighten the second side similarly
through the same points. Fasten off and hide the tail inside the head.

Forelock "Donkey”
For the forelock, use yarn Lanoso Single.
Watch the video “Forelock” on page 5.
Start crocheting the forelock from the top in a circle. Make 6 rounds. Previously,
mark 6 rounds to the bottom with pins so that you don’t lose the rounds while
crocheting the forelock.
Attach the yarn at the back of the head and start crocheting the forelock into each
round and each stitch. Be careful not to lose the working yarn because it easily
slips away.
Fluff the yarn well with a comb. Wet the forelock a little with water and comb it,
give it time to dry. After drying, comb the forelock again. The forelock is finished.

Put them together. Pull the jeans yarn through the lilac part and crochet around
the ear with sc through the back loops of the lilac ear and through both loops of
the jeans ear (photo 32).

Assembly "Donkey”
For the whites, we need a 1-ply white thread. Insert the needle into the bottom of
the eye (photo 47) and apply it along the side of the eye (photo 47). Move to the left
eye and embroider the white (photo 48).
Fasten off and break yarn.
47 48 49
For the muzzle embroidery, we need 1-ply black YarnArt Jeans yarn. Measure a long
scrap of yarn. First, embroider the eyelids. Skip one stitch from the right eye to the
side and apply the thread exactly around the rim of the eye. Insert the needle from
the left (inner) side of the eye, move to the left eye, and embroider the eyelid. Next,
we embroider the eyebrows. Previously, mark their position with pins and make
sure that the eyebrows are even and at the same level.

Embroider a pattern on the muzzle with the same thread. Insert the needle with the
thread in the center of the head under the forelock (photo 54). Insert the needle from
above the muzzle (photo 55) and draw it out under the muzzle and again above the
muzzle (photo 56). Do not tighten the threads too much. Embroider three horizontal
stripes on the bridge of the nose and the muzzle with the same thread (photos 57, 58).
Embroider them on the belly too (photo 59, 60).
