1. To promote in learners awareness og the useful of the English language
medium of national and international communication, as well as the value
of effective language command and use for personal and national
development.
2. To develop in learners a lifelong reading habit for enjoyment acquisition of
knowledge.
3. To develop in learners appropriate techniques for intensive and extensive
reading.
4. Further develop and foster writing skills and talent in learners.
5. To extend the learner's skills of listening for different purposes.
6. To help learners communicate effectively in spoken English.
