Importance of Child Placement
• Helps in learning professional skills related to
assessment, interevention, and counselling skills.
• Provides and opportunity to work with diverse
population of children having different special needs
which helps in building cultural competency and
understanding.
• Helps in learning to collaborate with parents, teachers,
and other professionals involved in the child's care.
• The skills and experience gained can be directly applied
to future jobs in schools, hospitals, clinics, or private
practice working with children.
Requirements for Placement
• Complete 4 case reports
• Detail knowledge about diagnostic criteria's of DSM-V-TR
• Command over testing (administration, considerations, reporting and
interpretation)
• Knowledge about intervention techniques
• Interviewing skills for taking detailed case history
• organization and time management
• Maintain confidentiality of the child's information.
• Seek regular supervision from your training supervisor to discuss cases,
receive feedback, and work accordingly

interests to build rapport and encourage a sense of
normalcy.

should be realistic and related to verbatim provided by parents
• Focus on case formulation---predisposing factors, precipitating factors,
perpetuating factors and protective factors, discuss each factor identified in
cases and support your point with relevant research. Also discuss behavioral
issue supported with relevant researches in case formulation
