1. Andy orders 3 pizzas. If each pizza costs $x and the delivery
charge is $d, write an expression for the total cost.

Their mother is 4 times Gerard’s age. Write an expression in
terms of x for a. Gerard’s age b. their mother’s
age.

3. Grandma baked 96 cookies and gave them to her grandchildren.
One of the grandchildren, Cindy, received c fewer cookies than
she would have received had all of the cookies been evenly
divided among the 8 grandchildren. How many cookies did Cindy
receive? Write your answer as an expression.

gardens for t hours. A generous donor has agreed to double their

8. Grandma Gertrude gave 13 pieces of jewelry and Grandma Fien gave

themselves. There are 5 Carlson sisters. How many pieces of jewelry

9. Sarah received $55 for her birthday. She used some of that money to

10. A large cheese pizza costs $18. Each topping you add on costs
