Title:

Exploring the Impact of Social Media on Daily Life:

Introduction

Social media has become a significant part of everyday life for people of all ages,
especially youth. From communication and entertainment to education and self-
expression, its role is rapidly evolving. While social media brings convenience and
connection, it also raises questions about its effects on time management, mental well-
being, and social interactions. This research aims to explore how individuals
experience and perceive the influence of social media in their daily routines and
lifestyles.

Problem Statement

Despite the widespread use of social media, there is limited qualitative understanding
of how it impacts users on a personal level. Many studies focus on statistical usage
patterns, but fewer explore the everyday experiences, feelings, and changes in
behavior caused by constant online engagement. This research seeks to fill that gap by
listening to individuals' personal stories and insights.

Research Objectives

To explore how individuals use social media in their daily lives.

To understand the emotional and psychological impact of social media usage.

To examine changes in daily routines, relationships, and social habits due to social
media.

To identify both positive and negative aspects of social media as experienced by users.

Methodology Overview

Research Design: Qualitative

Data Collection Method: Semi-structured interviews

Sample Size: 4 participants

Sampling Method: Convenient sampling (students or young adults)
