MATHEMATICS PROJECT – due Friday 18th October, 2024

1) Choose one of the following topics listed below:


 Favourite ice cream flavour
 Favourite juice flavour
 Favourite sport
 Birthday month
 Modes of transport to get to school (example: walking, car, bus etc)
 Favourite subject

2) Collect the data from friends based on your chosen topic.

3) Create a frequency table to represent the data you collected. Label the columns appropriately. Use a ruler.

4) Create a pictograph using the data from the frequency table. Ensure that you include a Key. Your symbols
must look the same.

5) Create a bar graph using the data from the frequency table. Give the bar graph a title and label your
categories. You can colour your bar graphs using colour pencils, crayons OR markers. Use a ruler.

6) This project is NOT to be completed in your notebook! Include a cover page.
