1 Introduction & Specification

1.1 General
This document refers to the design analysis of all thrust blocks used in this project: HALI DAM
DRINKING PURIFICATION PLANT. The thrust blocks shall be of gravity/bearing type, i.e., the
weight of the block and the bearing pressure of the soil shall provide the force that will resist the
thrust force exerted by the pipe.
