Larry Esperanza, a weather specialist from DOST-Pagasa Baguio synoptic station bared yesterday during the cordillera
Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council meeting those temperatures in mountainous Luzon are forecast to range
between 9.4 degrees Celsius and 26.9 degrees Celsius.

The lowest temperature recorded since last December is 14 degrees Celsius on December 20 2024.

Anchor: In the national scene Senate approves new term limits for barangay and SK officials. We have this report from

Johnpaul: Thank you very much Ivan.

The senate approved he third and final reading on January 14 the senate bill 2816 or the act setting a new term of office
for barangay officials and members of the Sangguniang Kabataan.

Under the approved bill, term of office for all elected barangay officials and Sangguniang Kabataan members will be four
years. Further, no barangay official will be allowed to serve more than three consecutive terms in the same position.

The bill waits president Ferdinand Marcos JR.`s approval for it to become a law.

Actor Vic Sotto has filed a lawsuit seeking 35million pesos in damages against director Darryl Yap for alleged “malicious
and defamatory statements.

Sotto filed 19 counts of cyber libel against Yap at the municipal City office of the City Prosecutor on Thursday January 9

The complain stems from the director’s film, which allegedly portrayed Sotto as rapist

Sotto is seeking 15 million pesos in exemplary damages intended to deter similar offenses in the future and additional
20million pesos in moral damages, citing public ridicule from the film’s social media teasers
