Larry Esperanza, a weather specialist from DOST-Pagasa Baguio synoptic station bared yesterday during the cordillera
Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council meeting those temperatures in mountainous Luzon are forecast to range
between 9.4 degrees Celsius and 26.9 degrees Celsius.
The lowest temperature recorded since last December is 14 degrees Celsius on December 20 2024.

The senate approved he third and final reading on January 14 the senate bill 2816 or the act setting a new term of office
for barangay officials and members of the Sangguniang Kabataan.
Under the approved bill, term of office for all elected barangay officials and Sangguniang Kabataan members will be four
years. Further, no barangay official will be allowed to serve more than three consecutive terms in the same position.
The bill waits president Ferdinand Marcos JR.`s approval for it to become a law.
