 Do you have experience migrating data from an on-prem database to Snowflake?

If so, what
challenges you encountered during the migration?

Ans : No, I don’t have experience migrating data from on-prem database to Snowflake. But, I
know that using Qlick Replicate we can loads data from On premises database to
Snowflake. I would like to know the process and like to have a such opportunity
to work on such requirment.

 How would you identify a slow running sql query in snowflake? What steps would you take
to optimize its performance?

Ans : Sign in to Snowsight. Select Monitoring » Query History. Use the Duration column to
understand how long it took a query to execute. You can sort the column to find the queries
that ran the longest.

Below are the steps we can take care :

1. Choosing the proper virtual warehouse size.

2. Using caching and optimization of auto-suspend configurations.

3. Performing data clustering and micro-partitioning.

4. Using Snowflake Query Acceleration.

5. Using Materialized Views.

6. Utilizing the Query Profile tool.

7. Using the Snowflake Search optimization service.

 Have you designed or implemented data pipelines on AWS? What all cloud services you
experience in?

Ans : I don’t have experience working on implementing data pipelines on AWS. But, I know that
using Qlick Replicate we can loads data from On premises database to
Snowflake. I have experience creating mappings in Qlick compose to load data
with in the Snowflake.

 How would you design a real-time data pipeline to process streaming data from IoT
devices?

Ans : Sorry, I am not sure as of now. But I would like to learn the process.

 How do you stay updated with the latest trends in data engineering and cloud services?

Ans : I follow industry blogs, podcasts, and newsletters, actively engage with online
communities, experiment with new tools and platforms, learn from thought leaders on
social media, and take online courses to acquire new skills and certifications. Focusing
particularly on emerging cloud technologies and data processing frameworks within your preferred
cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP).
