Midterm Exam Study Guide

The exam will cover Modules 1 through 7. It will be a mixture of short answer and multiple
choice questions. To prepare, you should go through this study guide and make sure that you
are familiar with all of the material. If you see a Bash command, you should know why it is used,
and be prepared to give examples of actually writing one.

For any topics that you are unfamiliar with: reread the book chapters, homework assignments,
look through the lecture slides, and review the in-class activities.

Format: The midterm exam will take place using Lockdown Browser in class.You’ll have 70
minutes. You may bring a single standard size piece of paper (8.5x11, front and back) with
hand-written notes.Please come to class on time, as you will not be granted any extra time if
you arrive late.
