You may already have some of the knowledge and skills covered in this
module because you have:
 Been working for some time.
 Training related to this area of qualification.
 Already have completed training in this area.

If you can demonstrate to your trainer that you are competent in a

particular skill or skills, talk to him/her about having them formally recognized
so you don’t have to do the same training again. If you have a qualification or
Certificate of Competency from previous trainings show it to your trainer. If the
skills you acquired are still current and relevant to this module, they may
become part of the evidence you can present for RPL. If you are not sure about
the current of your skills, discuss it with your trainer.

example, working alone away from your office can be a hazard. The risk of
personal danger may be high. Electric cabling is a hazard.

There are many types of hazards - chemical, ergonomic, physical, and

psychosocial, to name a few - which can cause harm or adverse effects in the
workplace. Get resources on specific hazards and their control, including
identification, risk assessment and inspections, to keep your workplace healthy
and safe.

 Chemical - A chemical substance is a form of matter having constant

chemical composition and characteristic properties. ... A common ex-
