What makes a person
attractive/beautiful? Physical Self
• The physical self refers to the body.
• It is the tangible aspect of the person that can be directly observed and examined (Singh,2017). What is BEAUTY • Beauty is the quality of being physically attractive and the qualities in a person or a thing that give pleasure to the senses or the mind.
• Beauty, traditionally, was among the ultimate
values along with goodness, truth, and justice. BEAUTY as an objective quality St. Augustine - Beauty is something that gives delight because it is beautiful.
Plato - Objects are found beautiful because they reflect
the idea of beauty that already exists in the realm of form.
Aristotle - forms of beauty are order, symmetry, and
definiteness that can be demonstrated by mathematical sciences. BEAUTY as a personal preference David Hume - Beauty is no quality in things themselves: It exists merely in the mind which contemplates them, and each mind perceives a different beauty.
Immanuel Kant – “The judgment of taste is therefore not
a judgment of cognition, and is consequently not logical but aesthetical, Is beauty subjective or objective? Psychology of Beauty Cognitive bias - which is an error in reasoning, evaluating, remembering, or any other mental process that is often a result of holding on to one’s preferences and beliefs regardless of contrary information.
Halo Effect - refers to the tendency of people to rate
attractive individuals more favourably for their personality traits or characteristics as compared to those who are less attractive. Culture of Beauty Culture has a significant impact on how a person feels about himself or herself, as well as his or her body image.

match your beauty standards. To have a positive self-image and a higher self-esteem, you must fix your false beliefs about physical attractiveness first. How to take care of body 1. Healthy eating 2. Embracing a healthy lifestyle 3. Maintaining proper hygiene 4. Being confident. thank you. Output 1 1.
