Goal: The learner will be able to proficiently deliver various speeches using the principles of effective speech delivery.
Role: Your task as a speaker is to deliver effective speech as you wish to develop your listening and speaking skills and introduce strategies for effective
communication in various situations so you can become an exceptional communicator.
Audience: Schools, Students, Teachers and Administrators.
Situation: The Speech and Oral Communication in Context does not only intends to make students understand the theories, processes, and elements of
communication but will also expose you to the kinds, types, and manners of speeches. Moreover, this subject also offers the five types of instructions—Discovery,
Integrative, Reflective, Inquiry, and Collaborative—in order to comply with the Philippine K to 12 curriculum so you will be able to apply the lessons you have
learned in real-life situation.
Performance/Product: 5 to 10 minutes speech on different situations.
Standard: The Oral Communication in Context help you in developing your communication skills so that you can become an effective, if not exceptional,
communicator by understanding the nature and elements of oral communication in context and recognizes that communicative competence requires understanding
of speech context, speech style, speech act and communicative strategy. The output will be evaluated based on the following criteria: Content, Organization,
Articulation, and Modulation.
