COURSE DESCRIPTION
Design exercises stressing environmental analysis, aesthetic, topographic, geologic, and seismologic conditions, utilities, circulations, legal considerations and sensitivities of man.

2. Exhibit expertise in the development and creation of site development plans and landscapes appropriate for the project and the location.    
3. Understand the relationships between buildings and the environment.  
4. Design spaces with respect to relevant policies and laws essential in the area.    
5. Present orally their studies and designs and show their expertise in answering questions and inquiries related to the project.    

CLASS POLICIES
A. General Policies

 Students shall observe the usual norms of politeness, etiquette and courtesy.
 Students shall wear proper clothes during class hours.
 Students can post questions, raise hands but there may be delay in response especially during virtual classes.
 Students shall not wear caps or hats inside the virtual room.
 Students shall observe proper decorum.

B. Checking of Attendance

 Checking of Attendance. It shall be checked starting on the first day of classes. Late enrollees shall be marked absent for the days missed
 A student must attend at least 80% of the credit hours of each subject to be considered enrolled.
 The student shall be given a grade of 0.0 if he/she incurs absences more than the allowable percentage (20%) of class hours.
 A student shall be marked absent if he/she arrives after:
 c.1) 15 minutes for 1 hour class meeting c.2) 30 minutes for 2 hours class meeting c.3) 45 minutes for 3 hours class meeting c.4) 60 minutes for 4 hours class meeting

C. Tardiness / Absences

 A student shall be marked late for his/her class if he/she arrives within the grace period. (3 lates = 1 absence)
 A student who leaves the room or stays outside for the duration of class period and/or more than the half of the duration of class without permission from the professor shall be marked absent.
 Excused reasons that will not be marked absent are the following: a) sickness b) accidents and c) death in the family
 The above reasons to be excused from absences shall be attested by the student’s guardian thru letter and valid documents (medical certificate, police report, registration

D. Submission of Requirements

 Drawing for small deadlines (e.g. esquisse, exercises) shall be undertaken in the classroom.
 Major Plates- compilation of works; to be checked in progression
 No extensions for submissions.

GRADING SYSTEM

Grade Computation: % GRADE RANGE GRADE POINT


The College of Architecture shall use Zero-based, 60% Passing Grading System. Grades shall be computed in term of percentage with base grade at 96 – 100 4.0
0% and passing mark at 60%. This implies simple computation of grades without transmutation used. 90 – 95 3.5
84 – 89 3.0
Formula: Percentile Grade (PG) = Raw Score x 100
Total Score 78 – 83 2.5
72 – 77 2.0
Grade Computation per Evaluation Period (Midterm / Finals)
66 – 71 1.5
1. Class Standing 70% 60 – 65 1.0
