o This question paper contains 38 questions. All questions are compulsory


o Question paper is divided into FIVE sections - Section A, B, C, D and E.
o In section A - question number 1 to 18 are multiple choice questions (MCQs) and question number 19
and 20 are Assertion-Reason based questions of 1 mark each.
o In section B – Questions number II to VI are Very Short Answer (VSA) type questions
o of 2 marks each.
o In section C - Question number VII lo XII are Short Answer (SA) type questions carrying 3 marks each.
o In section D - Question number XIII lo XVI are Long Answer (LA) type questions carrying 5 marks
each.
o In section E - question number XVII to XIX are case based integrated units of assessment questions
carrying 4 marks each. Internal choice is provided in 2 marks question in each case-study.
o There is no overall choice. However, an internal choice has been provided in 2 questions in Section B.

X. Find the value of 𝒂 for which the equation 2𝑥 + 𝑎𝑦 = 5, has (1,-1) as a solution. (3)
Find the two more solutions for the equation obtained.

Plot the points on the plane A(-1,2), B(3,2), C(-1,-1), D(3,-1). Identify the figure
ABCD and find its perimeter.
XI. In figure, if QT⊥PR, ∠TQR=40O and ∠SPR=30O, find the value of 𝑥 and 𝑦. (3)

It is given that ∠XYZ = 64° and XY is produced to point P. Draw a figure from the
given information. If ray YQ bisects ∠ZYP, find ∠XYQ and reflex ∠QYP.
XII. In figure, ABC is an isosceles triangle with AB = AC. D is a point in the interior of
ΔABC such that ∠BCD =∠CBD. Prove that AD bisects ∠BAC of ΔАВС. (3)

Section D – consists of Long Answer (LA) type questions carrying 5 marks each.

XIV. If 𝑝(𝑥) = 𝑥 4 − 2𝑥 3 + 3𝑥 2 − 𝑎𝑥 + 𝑏 is a polynomial such that when it is divided by


𝑥 + 1 and 𝑥 − 1, the remainder are 19 and 5 respectively. Then find the remainder
when 𝑝(𝑥) is divided by 𝑥 − 2. (5)

XV. In figure, DE || QR and AP and BP are bisectors of ∠EAB and ∠RBA respectively.

XVI. M is the mid point of the hypotenuse AB of a right triangle ABC. Prove that (5)

XVII. Read the Text given below and answer the questions: (4)

In the above picture, one small square is of size 1 km× 1 km. From the starting
point O (0,0) Deepak started to drive towards his home. He first drives 3 km in
left then he turned to his left and drove 2 km, there he found a temple. He
worshipped there and drove 6 km in the left direction, there is a zoo and from the
zoo, he drives 2 km on the right side, then he reached his home. From O Sanjay
drove for his school, he drove 1 km to his right then took a left turn and drives 2

km then again took a right turn and drives 2 km. He found a hospital in the way.
From Hospital he drove 3 km and finally reached his school.

attending teachers parent meeting at Reeta's school. As the home of Ranjeet was
close to the school so they were coming by waking. Reeta asked her father,
"Daddy how old are you?" Ranjeet said, "Sum of ages of both of us is 55 years,
After 10 years my age will be double of you.
Now you find ages of both of us"

Now the teacher said to draw CE||BA. Further angles were named 1 to 5 as
shown in the figure. Now answer the following questions:

a) BA||CE and AC is the transverse line, So ∠ 1 is equal to which angle?


b) ∠2 is equal to which angle?
