ABASET

ABASET (Aluminium Bracelet Anodes Square End Type) is one


of Sacrificial Anode's type which can be used in Sacrificial
Anode Cathodic Protection (SACP) System. There are two
variant of bracelet anodes which often be used for protecting
the steel structure, i.e. Aluminum alloy and Zinc alloy.
Aluminium bracelet anode mostly can be installed in sea water
& sea mud environment, whereas Zinc bracelet anode can be
applied in river (brackish water), sea water, and sea mud
environment.

All testing & inspection of bracelet anode shall meet to the followings document
standard: ISO15589-2, NACE RP0492-99, NACE TM0190-99. Annex B of DNV RPB401
(2005), approved Manufacturing Production Specification (MPS) & Inspection and
Testing Plan (ITP) and as per Project Specification from the Customers.

CONFIGURATION NUMBER OF ANODE


Every configuration of bracelet anode manufactured by GESIT has a unique Part Number
(P/N) in order to facilitate customer place an order.

GESIT P/N: XB2-OD-W-Th-Y


X : Anode Alloy (Aluminum-A or Zinc-Z)
B2 : Bracelet Anode with two half shell
OD : Outside Diameter of Pile or Pipeline (MM)
W : Netweight of Anode Alloy (Kg)
Th : Thickness of Bracelet Anode (MM)
Y : Configuration of Bracelet Anode (Square Ends-SE, Tapered Ends-TE. Pile-Pl, Bolted-
BO)
For example: AB2-20-50.1-55-SE, meaning that the Aluminum Bracelet Anode with two (2)
half shell and it shall be installed on 20 OD pipeline with net weight of 50.1Kg, thickness
55MM, Square Ends type.
