(Quarter 1- Week 1)

Subject: Electrical installation and maintenance

Grade Level: Grade 10

Objective: Select appropriate electrical tools, equipment and materials for installing
electrical lighting systems, auxiliary outlets and lighting fixtures

Learning across curriculum:


1) Physics - Understanding the principles of electricity and circuits can help students make
informed decisions on selecting the right tools and materials for electrical installations.
2) Mathematics - Calculating electrical loads and voltage requirements can aid in determining
the appropriate equipment needed for lighting systems and outlets.
3) Technology and Livelihood Education (TLE) - Knowledge of safety protocols and
standards in electrical works from TLE can guide students in choosing the correct tools for
installation tasks.

Review Motivation:

Instructional Materials:
1) Images of various electrical tools and equipment
2) Scenario cards for role-playing activity

Activity 1: Tool Selection Challenge
