DIGITAL ELECTRONICS

PRACTICAL FILE
Submitted as a partial fulfillment for the award of
the Graduation in Bachelors of Technology
(B.TECH) specialization in AI-ML

NAME: VINAY

Aim:
To study and verify the total resistance in a circuit composed of
resistors connected in series and parallel using Ohm’s law. This
helps understand how voltage and current distribute across
different resistor configurations.

Series and Parallel Resistor Combination

Aim:
To design and implement an LED blinking circuit using a 555
timer IC in a stable mode. This project demonstrates how timing
circuits can be used for creating pulses and toggling outputs like
LEDs.

LED Blinker using 555 Timer

Aim:
To build a basic light-sensitive circuit using an LDR to detect
ambient light levels. The circuit is used in applications like
automatic night lamps or light-activated switches.

Light Detector using LDR

Aim:
To construct a full-wave bridge rectifier circuit that converts AC
voltage to pulsating DC using diodes. It helps in understanding
rectification, filtering, and basic AC to DC conversion methods.

Full-Wave Bridge Rectifier

Aim:
To demonstrate the working of a NOT logic gate using a single
NPN transistor. This is a basic example of implementing logic
gates using discrete components instead of ICs.

NOT Gate using NPN Transistor

Aim:
To create a basic security alarm circuit that gets activated when
light is blocked from an LDR, simulating an intrusion. It is useful in
basic home or vault security setups.

Burglar Alarm using LDR

Aim:
To build a temperature-sensitive circuit using a thermistor to
detect changes in temperature and control the output
accordingly. Used in basic thermostats or fan controllers.

Temperature Sensing Circuit using Thermistor

Aim:
To make a sound-activated switch that responds to claps using a
microphone and transistor amplifier circuit. Demonstrates the use
of sound signals to control electrical devices.

Clap Switch using Condenser Mic and Transistor

Aim:
To develop a circuit that turns ON streetlights automatically when
it gets dark using an LDR sensor and a transistor switch. Promotes
energy efficiency by automating lighting systems.

Automatic Street Light using LDR and Transistor

Aim:
To count objects passing through a point using IR sensors and a
counter circuit. This setup is useful for basic automation systems
in industries or crowd management.
