Message from General Secretaries’ Desk
The greatness of ancient Indian Vedic literature is infinite and astounding. Vedas have quoted facts that have stood
the test of time and mankind since ages. No ancient civilization in the world has clearly postulated the norms of
music as done by our scholarly rishis. In fact, it was the Vedas that introduced music to the world and unfolded its
benefits for the betterment of human beings and the society. Vedic scholars had such in depth knowledge of music
that they could challenge the forces of nature by causing rains, thunder storms and earthquakes through music.
Vedic music is eternal and mesmerizing, it helps to keep the mind and body in harmony with the rhythm of nature
and divinity. Ancient texts reiterate the mental, physical, biological and holistic effect of music on living beings and
the environment. Indian mythology has associated several musical instruments with the deities like Lord Shri
Krishna with the flute and the conch, Lord Shiva with the pellet drum, Maa Saraswati with the veena and sage
Narada with the tanpura. The sound vibrations of these musical instruments were selected to be in tune with the
specific frequencies that balance their cause and effect.
With the onset of westernisation and modernisation, the time tested vedic facts have been diluted and overlooked
thereby leading to the prevailing ills in living beings and the environment. The need of the hour is to revive and
reinvigorate the vedic principles for the benefit of mankind and the society.
Organizers have taken a giant leap in this direction of benefitting the environment and the society by organizing
ANUBHOOTI- an international conference that could bring illustrious scholars, researchers, academicians and
students on a unique distinguished platform. ANUBHOOTI is aimed at providing an opportunity to review and
project the vedic facts with a scientific base for sustainable development of the society.
Focal Theme- The conference will encompass deliberations by expert musicians, scientists and environmentalists
from the field of traditional and classical music along with stalwarts from the scientific fraternity. The conference
aims at disseminating its focal theme through key note addresses, panel discussions, plenary sessions supported by
oral and poster presentations of research papers. Effective propagation of the focal theme will be further
consolidated through impressive exhibitions, cultural and musical concerts. These well planned and deftly executed
programs will strike the right note among the conference attendees and drive home the impact of music on
environment and sustainable development.
We hope this conference will provide and excellent oppurtunites to faculty, researchers, students and artists to
interact with another and to move a step forward to achive good in music, environment and sustainable
development.
We are extremely happy to extend our warm greetings and a hearty welcome to all the esteemed guest and
delegates. We hope you will find the conference fruitful and worth remembering.
We also extend heartiest thanks to all the supporters, contributers, convenors, members and supporting staff for
making this seminar grand success.

Abstract- Sida acuta Burm.F.belonging to the family Malvaceae is a perennial shrub found growing, grow
well in many soils. The plant is frequently found in pastures, cultivated lands and along the roadsides. It
has a variety of traditional uses. The decoction of the entire plant is taken orally for curing
asthma, fever, aches and pains ulcers and also veneral disease. Higher plants are capable of producing a
variety of secondary metabolites of high structural diversity include alkaloids, phenols, tannins,
terpenoids, flavonoids, essential oils etc. These biologically active compounds are the potential
antimicrobial agents. All plant parts are good source of antibacterial compounds. The plant parts have
been used in the preparation of number of new antibiotics. Sida acuta can be the best source for designing
and developing new antibiotics to counter the resistance being acquired in microorganisms due to the use
of drugs. The investigation of the natural materials as sources of new antibacterial agents has been
renewed.

Abstract- Environmental pollution and hazardous impact of unplanned development and industrialization
are major problem now a days. So it is essential to understand the links between environment and
development in order to make progressive choices, which will be economically efficient, socially
equitable and responsible, and environmentally sound. So to sort out the problems of adverse impacts on
our surroundings, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) is serving as a best engineering and
management tool to control pollution leading to sustainable development by proper planning of the
project. EIA is best defined as the process of evaluating the potential environmental impacts of a proposed
action with their best solutions to reduce pollution leading to sustainable development.
EIA process comprises of Screening, Description of project, Scoping, Impact analysis, Mitigation,
Reporting, Auditing, Decision making to implementation of the project in leading to sustainable
development. The main advantages and benefits of EIA increases project acceptance by the public and
key stakeholders. It helps to keep environment healthy along with development. Although it possesses
some difficulty like this process is time consuming and requiring extra effort. Due to delays in appraisal
meetings and the process of EIA is not fully transparent specially in India are the main problems. To solve
these problems Applicant should be given opportunity to present proposal to committee in person and the
process of EIA should be transparent and fast. So it becomes necessary to find the impact and prescribed
solutions of any project over the environment. For this purpose EIA is the best solution.

Abstract- In this complex society of today where experiences are innumerable and varied it is not at all
possible to present every situation in its original colors hence the opportunities for learning by actual
experiences always are not at all possible. It is only through the use of proper audio visual aids that the
life situation can be trough in the class room by an enlightened teacher in their simplest form and
representing the original to the highest point of similarity which is totally absent in the verbal or lecture
method. In the presence of audio aids the attention is attracted interest roused and suitable atmosphere for
proper understanding is automatically created, but in the existing traditional method greater efforts are to
be made in order to achieve the aforesaid essential requisite. Inspire of the best and sincere efforts on the
side of the teacher the net effect as regards under standing or learning in general is quite negligible.

Abstract: The ability to learn is one of the most outstanding human characteristics learning occurs
continuously throughout a person‘s life. In general learning is to acquire Knowledge or skills. It may
involve a change in attitude or behavior. Children learn to identify object at an early age. Teenagers may
learn to improve study habits and adult can learn to solve complex problem. To define learning, it is
desirable to analyze what happens to the individual when he is busy in learning process. The individual‘s

way of perceiving , thinking feeling , and doing may change as a result of a learning experience .thus
learning can be define as a change in behavior as a result of experience to fulfill the pre decided
objectives. The change in behavior may be physically and overt or it may be complex intellectual or
attitudinal change which affects behavior in more subtle ways. In spite of a number of theories and
contrasting views, psychologists generally agree on many common characteristics of learning.

the WHO, BIS standards.
Abstract- The fishes are one of the most important vertebrate, provided rich protein sources for human
and several animals and important elements in the economy of many countries. Fish diversity of river
essentially represents the fish faunal diversity.Rivers conserve a rich variety of fish species which
supports the commercial fisheries. The country is rich in diversity of such important group of animals
Keeping in the view, the diversity of fish fauna of the Narmada River in Omkareshwar to Barwani ,
Madhya Pradesh, Central India has been studied from the period August 2009 to July 2010. The aim of
the study was to explore the fish fauna of Narmada River. In the course of investigation, Four sampling
spots were selected viz. Omkareshwar,Mandleshwar,Maheshwar and Barwani of Narmada River. The
total 43 fish species were recorded under four orders, nine families and 16 genera. 21 species of
Cypriniformes, three species of Ophiocephaliformes, two species of Perciformes and one species of
Mastacembeliformes have been recorded. The Cyprinidae family is dominant and sub dominant family is
Ophiocephalidae. Recently, the Tor tor fish species commonly called ‗Mahasheer‖ has been declared state
Fish of Madhya Pradesh. The over fishing and pollution are the major threat for fish diversity of the

Abstract- This paper addresses the health care system from a global perspective and the importance of
human resources management (HRM) in improving overall patient health outcomes and delivery of health
care services. Various key success factors emerge that clearly affect health care practices and human
resources management. This paper will reveal how human resources management is essential to any
health care system and how it can improve health care models. Challenges in the health care systems in
India and various developing countries are examined, with suggestions for ways to overcome these
problems through the proper implementation of human resources management practices The human factor
is central to healthcare, yet its proper management has remained beyond the reach of health care
organizations. In past few years it has experienced dramatic change due to cut throat competition,
advanced technology, increased cost, demand for best patient care services etc. Hospitals are
implementing and following best HRM practices to increase the organizational effectiveness.
Effectiveness of any hospital or health care unit cannot be only determined by its profitability. Leading
hospitals and healthcare institutes are realizing the power of a performance management approach in
decision-making. That‘s why an effective performance management system is essential to be
implemented in hospitals. Performance appraisal is a part of performance management system and one of
the most important HRM Practice. Performance appraisal programs, monitor the performance of
employees, motivate staffs. Performance appraisal is important for both private and public sector
hospitals. There are various methods of Performance appraisal.

Abstract- ―Music Produces a kind of pleasure which human nature cannot do without.‖– Confucius.
―Music is the mediator between the spiritual and the sensual life.‖– Ludwig Van Beethoven. The sound
environment plays a vital role in the ability of the brain to control the nervous system to send and receive
billions of nerve impleses, convert signals into mental images and to process information. Most of us are
very used to the sounds we hear in everyday life. Loud music, the traffic, mobile phone, the television and
even pets barking in the middle of the night. All of these have become apart of the urban culture and
rarely disturb us. Loud music create noise pollution. Noise pollution takes place when there is either
excessive amount of noise or an unpleasant sound that causes temporary disruption in the natural balance.
The human body and each of its cells, tissues, organs and organ systems have a certain resonance and they
function optimally within a specific range of sounds. The vibrations in the human body create a natural
pattern of sounds that is essential to human health and balance: physically, mentally and spiritually.
Negative impacts of disturbing sounds include low energy levels, poor performance at work, occupational
and an inability to make clear out decisions. Very loud music can cause hearing loss, memory loss and
headache, psychological imbalance, Insomnia, decrease appetite, weakened immune system, Heart
disease. According to Dr. Mercola sound is measured in units called decibels. Sounds of less than 75
decibels, even after long exposure are unlikely to cause hearing loss. At the very least, you can sound-
treat your home by adding heavy curtains to your windows, rugs to your floors and sealing air leaks. Use
sound blocking headphones can eliminate such disturbances, use pink noice CDS.

Abstract- Environmental pollution in present scenario has become a matter of great concern. Emitted
chemicals and solid wastes from different industries have increased amount of contaminants in air, water
and soil to hazardous level. The present study was aimed to evaluate effect of polluted water sources on
soil properties. Six water sources viz. river, boring, well, pond, sewage and coalmine were collected from
Anuppur district, Madhya Pradesh. Soil was analysed for various parameters before and after addition of
different water. Our study results showed increase in pH of soil on addition of all polluted water.
Electrical conductivity of soil was changed in soil treated with river, well, pond and coalmine
water.Organic carbon and available nitrogen was decreased in soil treated with different water sources.
Available phosphorus was decreased in boring, well, pond and sewage treated soil and increased in river
water treated soil. There was decrease in available potash in soil treated with boring, well and sewage.
However river and pond water increased available potash in soil. It can be concluded from present study
that when polluted water reaches fresh soil then it affects quality of soil adversely.

against women and their causes. The results indicate that the assumption economic growth has not
translated into the abolishment of traditional practices and regressive attitudes; there is also a clear link
between sex ratio and violence as a whole. It is concluded that India has witnessed an increase in the
Crimes against women over the past few years evident of the fact that female literacy probably becomes
an effective agency against violence only when literacy spreads extensively. This ‗crime against woman
‗situation cannot be improved in a short duration; due to various cultural, economic and social factors.
Like the ingrained patriarchal mind-set, the economic dependency, increasing alcohol consumption, wave
of migrant laborers in big cities, the clash of cultural values due to a media.
Abstract- The green garbage (plant cuttings, fallen leaves, flowers, fruits, grass cuttings etc) of the Jiwaji
Campus, City centre Gwalior was collected, mixed with cattle dung and different additives and recycled
into vermicomposting of very high quality. Three species of epigeic worms, red wriggler, Eiseniafoetida,
Giant African worm, Eudriluseugeniae and tropical worm Perionyxexcavatus are being used for
vermicomposting purpose. It has been noticed that out of these three worms Eudriluseugeniae is the most
competitive worm and it dominates in a mixed culture. It has higher frequency of reproduction and faster
rate of growth to adulthood than most others. The present study entitled ―Stimulatory Influence of some
Additives onVermicomposting by Eudriluseugeniae‖ was taken up to demonstrate the influence of some
additives, butter milk and Jaggery, Spirulina and Trichoderma harzianum using African giant
Eudriluseugeniae in vermicomposting of dung and dried leaf mixture. In order to begin the study,
aseparate vermi-tank (6X3X1 feet) was prepared in which the culture Eudriluseugeniae in a bedding
mixture of cattle dung and dry plant leaves (2:1) was maintained during the course of study (Septemberto
February, 2011) in Vermicomposting Centre located in Charak Udyan of Jiwaji University, Gwalior. The
culture was constantly monitored with regular watering and mixing of the medium to maintain suitable

moisture and aeration respectively. Mature clitellate worms required for the experiments were taken from
this stock culture. In conclusion of the present study it can be stated that Spirulina and Trichoderma can
be used as probiotic and microbial inoculants during pre-decomposition period in order to get qualitative
and quantitative improvement in vermicomposting.

health condition of an artistes is much in higher level compared to any normal non artistic person .science
and survey has proven this. To quote anexample our great scientist and favourite president Dr. Abdul
kalam was a great Veenaartiste. Every time in his investigations or in his process of thinking he adopted
to play Veena to get the concentration and fresh mind to work for non-countable hours.
Our history, heritage cultural roots are testimony to prove Bharatiya sanskriti & kala are the most suited
and adoptable module for achild‘s overall personality development because it is scientific,
artistic, challenging, enjoyable process of learning. As of today the fine arts the five art forms are
considered as most successful medium of communication. They are World of sound that is music&
literature, the world of movement-dance, World of acting- theatre World of lines- drawing, World of
shades- paintingWorld of dimensions–sculpture,
World of placement– architecture
Culmination of all these is known as lalitkala
Music, dance, acting as performing arts and literature,(language) painting architecture as visual arts…
In our present day education curriculum,if we consider this as module and medium ofeducation for
personality development we can create thousands of Abdul kalam, / Swami Vivekanda…
Art provokes aperson, his body, mind and soul. This is the ultimate manifestation of a human being.
As Swamy Vivekanda says ―Education is the manifestation of the perfection already in man‖.
Art education can be the thumb line for the above statement
So my paper will have significance, understanding the word art that is Bharatiya kala –
Arteducation,art appreciation.
Presentation will have meaning of art and society, history, heritage, culture, Survey of selected young
minds to prove the importance of art education.
Abstract- Sahaj Yoga is related to kundalini shakti. Kundalini is derived from a sanskrit word
‖kundal‖ means coiled up. It is a primordial dormant energy which is present in three and half coils
at the base of spine in a sacrum bone. Sacrum comes Greek language that means ―Pure‖. This bone
where residual cosmic power defined as Kundilini Shakati consist of special powers as it is mention in

upnishads . Yoga of kundalini shakti is supreme yoga .Now-a-days human beings are living with
complex type of life. This complex life can be overcome from dhayan or meditation. Meditation is a
step of samadhi which took us in a condition known as thoughtless awareness by awakening
kundalini shakti. In course of awakening this kundalini shakti passes through seven chakaras and
Eda , Pingla and Shushumna nadi and finally reaches at Sahasrara chakra. It is Sahasrara Chakra where
kundalini the residual energy re units with the Supreme Energy the God. Then God becomes our care
taker. It is said that the awakening of Kundilini Shakti can be achieved through meditation, music and
devotion the Bhakti. Music is systematic energy farm which acts on different chakras which are the
different level energy centers and helps in rectifying the disturbances due to various physical and mental
activities the human beings are performing in sustaining the present life style. Sahaj Yoga defines how
music helps in achieving the awakening.
Abstract- Music and sports are essential for the sustainable development of the growth of the children
and environment because it contributes to the cognitive, physical, social and emotional well-being of
children. Music and sports also offers an ideal opportunity for parents to engage effusive with their
children which is very helpful for the overall development of children about the environment. In-spite of
benefits desired from Music and sports for children and parents, time for sports has been evidently
reduced for some children. Families, school systems and communities may provide the opportunity for
sports because sports play a significant role in psychological as well as emotional development of
children. Music activities improve brain power which directly or indirectly effects the environment for the
sustainable development. Frequent studies have been shown that participating in musical activities can
increase children achievement in school, scores and cognitive skill such as logical reasoning and memory.
Music can be a highly expressive and emotional form of communication. Music has been used on
personal level in education and in professional therapy which is called obviously, music therapy, to impart
pleasant thoughts and to calm the mind. On the other hand, participation in sports can have many benefits

for the individual and for society. However it is evident that sports can produce negative consequences if
qualities of sports programmes are not developed. Schools and communities can strive for the highest
standards by educating and training coaches, discourage the professionalization of youth sports
programmes. Mental health is a key which shows the extent to which the person has been able to
congregate his environmental demands-social, emotional or physical. However, when he finds himself
trapped in a situation he does not have equivalent strategies to deal with it efficiently, he gets himself
mentally stressed. This mental strain in generally is reflected in Indication like anxiety, tension,
restlessness or hopelessness among other. If it is felt for too long and too extensively by the person, these
symptoms may take a definite form (or get syndromized), representing a given illness; it is a study of pre-
illness mental condition of the person (Kumar, 1991)
Mental health, as such, represents a psychic condition which is characterized by mental peace, harmony
and content. It is identified by the absence of disabling and debilitating symptoms, both mental and
somatic in the person (Schneiders, 1964).
Music is a sonic phenomenon apart from of personal reaction but consistent with native cultural norms.
This sound event is the combination of the elements of pitch rhythm and loudness in a way to
communicate functionally, aesthetically, emotionally and scientifically.
In the above context my paper is divided into four parts, in the first part it will describe the concept,
significant role of music and sports for the sustainable development. Second part will explain benefits of
music and sports and third and fourth part will describe conclusion and findings.
Abstract- Walking catfish is a large family of catfishes found in freshwater of Africa, Syria, India and
Southeast Asia. It is named for its prominent barbells, a cylindrical body, flattened bony head and a board
transverse mouth with four pairs of long barbells around it. It also has an accessory air-breathing organ
allowing it to survive in oxygen-poor water or even out of water (Kottel et al., 1993). These catfishes

come in a variety of sizes (lengths range from 10 to 200 cm) and can be distinguished from one another
through their occipital process (Mohamed Mohsin and Ambak, 1991). The morphology of Clarias
gariepinus and Clarias batrachus is similar but there is variation in chromosome number and
karyomorphology. The giemsa stained metaphase spreads of Clarias batrachus and Clarias gariepinus was
optained. The cytogenetic profile of Clarias batrachus was found to have a total of 54 chromosomes
which comprised of six pairs of metacentric chromosomes, nine pairs of submetacentric chromosomes,
five pears subtelocentric chromosomes & seven pairs of telocentric chromosome. While as metaphase
spreads of Clairs gariepinus consisted of diploid chromoseome number of 2n=56 which comprised of ten
pairs of metacentric chromosomes, eight pairs of submetacentric chromosomes, five pairs of
subtelocentric chromosomes and five pairs of telocentric chromosome. The present study represents the
first comparative cytogenetic analysis of Clarias batrachus and Clarias gariepinus, which has clearly
identified species specific chromosomal markers. These markers can also be utilized to confirm suspected
hybrids between these two species.

Abstract— Life is defined by the classification such as living and nonliving, body and emotions and,
connected and individual etc. What all are doing? Managing their life to survive in a way such that life
remain managed. It‘s become a big heap to live a secure life financially, emotionally and in every
measurable aspects of it. A big illusion is that It‘s all seems as the only truth. Really it is the mere truth?
Let‘s have a different vision, that all the happening and things in life are the diverse manifestation of an
energy, A collection of variety of songs, "Its a distribution of energy". Life and energy are the synonym of
each other. The characteristic or property or, in humanized aspect, any attitude or emotion is a
combination of amplitude and frequency of the respective energies. The experiences are in reality, an
album of songs, originate from interactions among amplitude and frequencies. So, it can be tell that, if
something existing, that is energy, and the life is a song of this existing. There is a race everywhere, there
is a heat of ambitions, achievements and more after a more and there is stress, fear and boredom. The life
is misunderstood, since only this it‘s not enjoyed. Let‘s began a journey for the truth of life. A story with
a new vision. It‘s a never ending journey, as nothing is complete truth, and no small is incomplete,
however as the journey goes on, misunderstanding are goes off. It‘s a movement from, the everything
which seen and measured towards the remembering the feelings and intuitions only. Then follow the
following discussion on truth, it‘s an attempt of authors to represent their glimpses observed in their
journey. As discussion proceed, a vision is initiated in readers, which tells passion for process imparts real

Abstract- Music resonates within the human spirit. At the heart of humanity is a song of the soul. The spiritual
significance of music can transcend communities, cultures, and creeds. Music continues to inspire spiritual
expression as sound reflects and affects faith and values. Beliefs and perceptions will transcend the very nature of
music and lyrics. Our spirituality is an essential part of who we are, and it forms the framework of our world.
Community, culture, and creed all offer insights into the connection between music and spirituality. Music
cultivates community, as sound creates communication and unity. Cultivation is a constant process that develops,
encourages, and nurtures. Sound creates a spiritual connection between music-maker and music-lover.

Music expresses audible emotion and paints a picture evoking an extensive range of human emotions.
Music is a collective and emotive expression of the heart, body, soul, and mind. Your body knows the
music that you love, your mind knows the knowledge that you love, and your spirit knows the values that
you love.
Peace, love, and unity through body, mind, and soul is a powerful mix. Emotional expressions are distinct
from spiritual experiences, being powerful energies delivered through anger, crying, laughter, and love. A
spiritual experience is like a fountain of music sourced from the living water well of the soul.
Emotional expressions pass through life, whereas spiritual experiences are profound to life.Spirituality
does not always originate from a divine source. Spirituality may be sourced from personal education,
environment, and experience. It can be inspiring, practical, and form the foundations for enjoying
everyday life. When we listen to the secret language of the song, we only begin to understand that music
is from a spiritual source.

Abstract-With increasing pollution, many water quality parameters were affected so values of various
drinking water samples crossed the standard permissible limits. At many places the pipeline of municipal
tap water supply crossed the sewage water which causes water borne diseases, such as diarrhoea, cholera,
jaundice, typhoid and dysentery. In the present study, the water quality of drinking water of various water
samples namely tap water, boring water, well and hand pump in southern Indore city has been studied.
Water samples were analyzed for various water quality parameters like pH, electrical conductance, total
dissolved solids, total alkalinity, total hardness, chloride, sulphate, nitrate, fluoride, sodium, potassium,
mercury, iron, copper, zinc, lead and cadmium. In the present study 23.33%, 25%, 28.33% samples of
total hardness were cross the standard permissible limits as (300mg/l) during rainy, winter and summer
seasons. Only 81.25%, 84.37% and 84.37% of drinking water samples for TDS crossed the permissible
limit as 500 mg/l (BIS, 1998) in Rainy, winter and summer seasons respectively. In the present study the
values of fluoride, nitrate and sulphate found were under the permissible limit in all the drinking water
samples. None of the water samples crossed the permissible limit for heavy metals namely Copper,
Cadmium, Mercury and Lead except Zinc. Only three sample crossed the permissible limit (0.5) for Zinc.
Pearson's correlation coefficient ( r ) values among various water quality parameters of all the samples
were computed.

Abstract- The pollution of agricultural lands due to heavy metals causes serious problems to the
environment. Lead (Pb) is one of the major concerns among heavy metals because of its high level in the
environment, causes significant toxic effects on plant processes. Different remediation approaches have
been implicated to overcome the stress on crop plants. The use of silicon produces potential in crops to
resist the stressful environment. A field experiment was conducted to study the effect of soluble silica to
observe its role on stress created by lead in wheat plant. The stress parameters malondialdehyde (MDA),
proline content and activity of peroxidase enzyme were assayed in six week old wheat plant. Significantly
decreased in level of MDA, proline and peroxidase activity were observed after soluble silica application
in Lead stressed wheat plants.

their small and large muscles along with their eyes and ears. music impacts the brain by affecting how
students learn to read, write and do math, the speed with which they process language, and their ability to
multi task, Music develops skills that are critical for future success, including creativity, collaboration,
determination, motivation, and processing, Equally important, it shapes student‘s feelings and
understandings about themselves and the world around them. In students ages 2 to 9, one of the greatest
benefits of music education is enhanced language development. This is so important at this stage in a
child‘s life. Music helps further expand innate abilities that need to be celebrated, fostered, practiced, and
reinforced in the home and in a formal setting. Music education helps physically develop a portion of the
left brain, the part known to process language. It can rewire the circuits in unique ways. One of the music
education benefits is that it strengthens verbal competency and adds a small boost in IQ scores in children
and makes them more smarter. Music education helps kids visualize elements that belong together over
time, such as with solving math problems or working through other multistep challenges in art, gaming,
computers, or in professions like architecture or engineering. A prime benefit of music education is higher
test scores for students who participate in music programs at the school. It has
Abstract- Surface water pollution is a one of the most significant environmental issues faced by many
developing countries of the world. Growing urban population and industrialization in the present times
has tremendously increased the generation of wastewater. In urban areas, water demand for various
domestic and industrial purposes is met mainly from rivers, streams, lakes and wells.Almost 80% of the
water supplied for domestic use, comes out as wastewater. Most of this wastewater is discharged
untreated in the natural drainage system or sinks into the ground causing pollution of receiving water
bodies and groundwater. River water pollution mainly occurs due to direct discharge of untreated sewage
and industrial effluents comprising of chemicals, organic pollutants, heavy metals and agricultural run-

partially or untreated sewage. In addition to this, poorly developed wastewater treatment facilities and
infrastructure has led to pollution of river waters resulting in deterioration of its water quality due to
discharge of untreated wastewater. Out of the approximated 62,000 MLD of total sewage generation from
Indian cities, available treatment capacity is only for 23,277 MLD. Hence, it is important that the
municipal authorities and various governmental agencies coordinate and assess the lacunae for bridging
the treatment gap by seeking strict implementation of existing regulations for sewage treatment and
proper operation and maintenance of sewage treatment plants.

tones heard in music proceed into your body through a marked path. They begin as sound waves enter the
cochlea (inner ear). The function of the cochlea is to sort complex sounds into their elementary
frequencies, and then transmit them to the auditory cortex as trains of neural discharges via separately
tuned fibers of the auditory nerve. The auditory cortex is in the temporal lobe. Here specialized cells
respond to certain frequencies.
Abstract- The on-going environmental changes and depletion of soil fertility along with diminishing
natural resources threatens food security in rural areas in India. Especially soils under highly intensified
agro-ecosystems are at risk to produce as much crop as possible and therefore indicate that the agricultural
production needs to be increased in a sustainable manner with a view of not compromising the ecological
balance of the planet. Therefore, it is imperative to identify and develop alternative production systems,
which are highly productive, system efficient, ecologically compatible and sustainable in long run yet
economically viable too. Organic farming systems seem to offer a suitable alternative. Growing evidences
showed that organic practices envisages improved soil health, nutrient recycling, higher microbial
biodiversity and ecosystem services. However particularly in semi-arid tropics, these evidences are
scarce. Hence, the present work gives a plausible information and reliable evidence that organic
management significantly influence soil biological properties.

Ear of few birds and mammals show greater auditory responses.
The natural history of the Gallus domesticus and Rattus rattus, particularly the kind of habitat is reviewed
and it‘s included to interpret the significance of the degree of auditory specialization in the studied and to
evaluate the prevailing hypothesis that these specialized anatomy of ear enhance the ability of these
animals to detecting the sound of particular frequency and evading the danger.
The middle and inner ear anatomy of both animal and species was also studied. Thus, data on the entire
spectrum of birds and rat morphology provide an evolutionary sequence. Certain anatomical parameters
of the organ of corti show degree of specialization parallel to that of features of the middle ear. The
morphological changes and possible functional roles of these features are considered.
A very high correlation exists for the degree of specialization of stato-acoustic organ and aridity of
habitat, thus specialization increases with the increasing aridity of habitat of animals. This increased
specialization may result from more effective sensation in open environments, responsive sharpness
sensory neurons for a wide range of low frequency sounds enhanced by inner and cochlear specialization
is hence more advantageous here. There does not appear to be selection for hearing at particular
frequencies in this range. The peaks of greatest auditory sensitivity appear to correspond to the resonant
frequencies of the different components of the middle ear transformer and cavity.

spirituality leads to the love, compassion and the feeling of oneness which is universal. Again, different
cultures have their different ways towards spirituality, similar to music. It is an experienced fact by many
that music has a therapeutic capacity to make mind calmer, help in curing neurological disorders and
affect the moods and emotions of human beings. The spiritual elements are present in music, especially in
Indian Classical Music (ICM) since the ancient times. It has been a very effective tool to take one‘s mind
from material state to spiritual state. By considering these aspects, music can be employed to inculcate the
values of love, compassion, ethical practices, responsibility towards the world we live by spiritual

Abstract- Introduction of ―Green Revolution‖ has resulted in enhanced use of inorganic fertilizers for
raising the agricultural production. Though it has increased the agricultural production, but its rampant
use poses threat to soil health and agricultural productivity. Furthermore, rapid pace of urbanization and
population growth has led to burgeoning amount of solid waste that needs to be managed in a sustainable
way without harming the environment. In view of the above agricultural utilization of organic fraction of
municipal solid waste (MSW) through vermicomposting provides an alternative and promising option for
the management of two-fold problems at a time viz. ensuring agricultural sustainability and waste
management. In the present study, effect of earthworm processed MSW was seen on biochemical,
physiological and yield responses of Abelmoschusesculentus L. Plants were grown on different
amendment rates of municipal solid waste vermicompost (MSWVC). A pot experiment was conducted by
mixing MSWVC at 0, 20, 40, 60, 80 and 100% rate to the agricultural soil. The results showed a
significant increase in photosynthesis rate and stomatal conductance of plants grown at different MSWVC
rates (excluding higher doses). Total chlorophyll, carotenoid and protein contents also increased except
higher doses of MSWVC. Likewise, proline, peroxidase and lipid peroxidation increased with increasing
level of MSWVC. The study suggests that MSWVC could be used as organic amendment in soil depicted

Abstract-According to the figure obtained by Madhya Pradesh pollution control board in Indore,
emission from the vehicle causes the maximum pollution (DNA Vivek Trivedi 2012). The increased
traffic has resulted increased pollutant emission and the deterioration of environmental quality and human
health in several major cities in India. Indore enjoys a high ratio of number of vehicles to population (1:4)
which has resulted into increased air pollution problems in recent years. It was observed that the
concentration of RSPM increase in peak traffic hours. Peoples suffer from many diseases like asthma,
bronchitis, itching, allergy etc (Atul Thakkar 2013). A recent study by the World Health Organization
(WHO) may have placed Indore as the 68th most polluted city of the world but district officials say that a
number of steps have been taken to reduce pollution levels in the city over the year.

similar to some other rivers also.
In Bengal, there are at least three different types of Rivers as the state consists of quite varied geological
areas. Naturally, the Rivers can be divided in at least four types. As this area is the tell end of Ganga and

terrains at the western area of the state, the terrain rivers those run down the foothills of Himalayas and at

many things in common.
If we can pinpoint at least some of the problems, we can at least hope to cure those.

Abstract- Field experiments were conducted to determine the distribution of stem borers in four agro-ecological
zones of Indore district of M.P. Our study evaluated that of the various insect pests attacking cereals crops in
Indore, lepidopteran stem borer, Chilo partellus are by far the most injurious causing maize yield losses. Severe
damage is caused by the larvae that feed on the plant from early stage up to maturity causing a devastating impact
on maize yield. .Their distribution follows a define pattern with Chilo partellus dominating and is most abundant
and widely distributed species occurring at all sites C.partellus distribution is highly influenced by altitude and
moisture gradients. Present study was an attempt to evaluate the status of economically important cereal stem
borers with emphasis on their distribution, borer density and percent infestation.

Abstract- Theories have suggested that aquatic environments or ―blue space‖ might have particular
healing potential, to date there is little systematic empirical research on this issue. Indeed the presence of
water has, unintentionally, been a vital part for comparing people‘s reactions to built and natural
environments. Whereas aquatic features (rivers, lakes, coasts) are frequently present in visual stimuli
representing natural environments . As many towns are, for good reason, located near water this is a
potentially significant oversight.. There cannot be a single answer to this question which would be
entirely correct. Different theoretical approaches to psychology will yield different explanations. This is
evident from the other answers in this question which all stem from different theoretical accounts: As
predicted, both natural and built scenes containing water sounds were associated with higher preferences,

greater positive affect and higher perceived restorativeness than those without water sounds. Vedic
Science have emphasized the same and it is obvious the major saints of the past took the habitation onn
the banks of rivers ,lakes. Water is one of the most important physical, aesthetic landscape elements and
possesses importance e.g. in environmental psychology, landscape design, and tourism research, but the
relationship between water and health in current literature is only investigated in the field of
environmental toxicology and microbiology, not explicitly in the research field of blue space and human
well-being. Due to the lack of a systematic review of blue space and well-being in the various fields of
research, the aim of this review is to provide a systematic, qualitative meta-analysis of existing studies
that are relevant to this issue. Benefits for health and well-being clearly related to blue space can be
identified with regard to perception and preference, landscape design, emotions, and restoration and
recreation. Additionally, direct health benefits have already been stated. The studies included in the
review are mostly experimental studies or cross-sectional surveys, focusing on students as the subject
group. There is a need for more qualitative and multi-faceted, interdisciplinary studies, using triangulation
as a method to achieve a resilient image of reality. A broader study design considering all age groups
would contribute to identifying benefits for the whole of society. The inattentiveness to blue space makes
it difficult to measure long-term effects of blue space on well-being. There is still little respect for water
and health in planning issues, although salutogenetic health benefits can be identified. We propose a
number of avenues for further research including exploration of the mechanisms underlying these effects
as it is obvious that pure environment is therapy itself for the troubling challenges of human.
Abstract- In this paper, positive effects of music therapy on pain management have been studied. An
alternative method to medication, non-chemical pain management techniques such as relaxation training
can also help to control pain by using distraction to reduce awareness .This therapy has been shown to
enhance comfort and reduce pain for people of all ages, genders and races.
Music can actually stimulate brain waves that govern the autonomic nervous system. This may results in
slow breathing and heart rates. Music also has the power to improve depression and anxiety . Having a
positive attitude can prove beneficial in decreasing pain.

Music can help to reduce the sensation as well as distress of both chronic pain and postoperative pain.
Listening to music can reduce chronic pain from a range of painful conditions, including osteoarthritis,
disc problems and rheumatoid arthritis. Music therapy is increasingly used in hospitals to reduce the need
for medication during childbirth orcomplement the use of anesthesia during surgery. It causes the body to
release endorphins to counteract pain. Slow music relaxes by slowing breathing and heartbeat
Since emotion and pain are strongly linked, music that resonates with positive emotions triggers
positive memories can also affect mood and the ability to handle pain.
The study concludes that listening to music won't make pain go away, it can definitely help pain sufferers
to manage their daily lives better.
Abstract- The purpose of this study was to explore the effects of music listening on the level of
Psychological and physiological responses on human body with dynamic alteration in emotional
reactions. Therapeutic properties of the music were also noticed. The patients who listened music during
and after open heart surgery recovered soon.Psychophysiological responses were recorded while
experimental group was choosen to listen different type of music for comparing three emotions: sad,
fear, and happy. The procedure covered a fairly wide range of cardiac, vascular, electrodermal, and
respiratory functions. The sad citation produced the largest changes in heart rate, blood pressure, skin
conductance and temperature. The fear selection produced the largest changes in blood transit time and
amplitude. The happy quotation produced the largest changes in the measures of breathing rate. These
emotion-specific physiological changes somewhat replicated those found for non musical emotions.
However, Psychophysiological effects of music observed generally expressed by the facial expression.

Abstract-Water, the colourless and tasteless liquid is essential for all forms of life and is a fundamental
and basic need for sustaining almost all human activities. Water in abundant quality and quantity, at a
right time and place has been the key factor for the establishment of all civilizations and is considered a
divine gift by all faiths. Water is the basic and most important natural resource. It is not only the most
essential commodity for our day-to-life, but also plays a crucial role in our social and economic
development. Therefore, it is imperative that man develops, manages and uses this scare commodity as
rationally and efficiently as possible.
Benthic macro-invertebrates are common inhabitants of Lakes and streams where they are
important in moving energy through food web. Benthic diversity can be used as indicator of water
pollution, as it reacts quickly to minor environmental changes. Biomonitoring can help in determining the
impacts of aquatic ecosystem by elimination of sensitive species and damage caused allochthonous and
autochthonous pollution. Man has been much responsible for the over exploitation and misuse of this
natural resource by addition of anthropogenic pollutants to these water bodies.
Macrozoobenthos are used extensively as indicator of environmental status because numerous
studies have demonstrated that benthos responds predictably to many kinds of natural and anthropogenic
stress, Biomonitoring as a tool is used in recently for water quality management. The goal is to attain
sustainability, a state in which current water use will not compromise future aquatic ecosystems. Thus,
Biomonitoring emerged as an excellent tool and an alternative method or biological method to evaluate
and report on ecosystem conditions by using biological indicators. In fact due to industrialization,
urbanization and other anthropogenic activities, the water sources have not only become polluted but also

Abstract- Nitrate reductase (NR, E.C 1.6.6.1) is a complex enzyme that has been characterized as
sulfahydryl containing molybdo flavo haemo protein.Nitrate reduction catalyzed by this enzyme is
considered as rate limiting step in overall process of nitrate assimilation pathway . The nitrate in plants
tissues is reduced to ammonia via nitrite by the sequential action of many enzymes. The purpose of this
study was to determine Nitrate Reductase enzyme activity in maize plant seedling and to assess the effect
of various stimulators on the activity of Nitrate Reductase. Ethanol and Sucrose were used as the
stimulators of the Nitrate Reductase activity. We found that Nitrate Reductase activity varies with respect
to various stimulators Sucrose and ethanol were found to be highly effective stimulators in all the varying
concentration. Our results shows that in presence of proper stimulator in the proximate environment of
plant one can easily enhance the activity of Nitrate Reductase enzyme, which ultimately increases the
growth of plant and favours the environment.

biodiversity, water shortages, pollution and urban sprawl. While beekeeping cannot cure all of these it
offers a feasible and wholly environmentally beneficial activity that helps fight against these problems.
Beekeeping is a model activity that has many advantages for sustainable agricultural
development. In India environment is suitable for beekeeping, bees are a free, renewable resource. Start-
up costs with local hive bees are low and profits can be realized quickly. Beekeeping is a particularly
relevant activity for the rural peoples. As honey bees collect floral resources over a wide area, they
pollinate flowers, thereby increasing the number and quality of numerous fruit and vegetable crops. Many
of these are cash crops in their own right, and increasing crop quality and yields through better pollination
results in additional profits. In addition, honey bees have a large role in forest ecology through the
pollination of trees and other natural vegetation. Economy of the country is mainly depends on
agriculture. So the necessity of beekeeping, its expansion and development is sustainable and its
potentiality is vast in favor of the agriculture based rural economy of India. Remarkable achievement may
be made in the field of agricultural and horticultural production through cross-pollination.
We argue that beekeeping contributes to all four fundamentals of sustainability: (1) to
environmental sustainability, as the beekeepers come to understand the link between beekeeping and
forest conservation; (2) economic sustainability, by being a low-input rural activity that provides strong
economic returns; (3) cultural sustainability, by being an activity that integrates well with other
agricultural activities and that can be practiced by men, women, and youths; and (4) social sustainability,
by reducing poverty and enhancing quality of life. Bee products also constitute important ingredients of
folk and traditional medicine.

100 gm NPK and lowest (1.97 mg/gm) in control at 45 days after sowing. Chlorophyll b was also highest
(0.95 mg/gm) in 200 gm urea and lowest (0.39 mg/gm) in control at 15 days after sowing. At 30 days
after sowing it was maximum (1.18 mg/gm) in 10% vermicompost + 100 gm NPK and minimum (0.58
mg/gm) in control. The carotenoid content after 15 days was recorded highest (0.63 mg/gm) in 200 gm
urea and lowest (0.39 mg/gm) in control. At 30 days it was recorded maximum (0.79 mg/gm) in 10%
vermicompost + 100 gm NPK and minimum (0.52 mg/gm) in control. Moreover the protein content was
maximum (15.73 mg/gm) in 10% vermicompost + 100 gm NPK and minimum (7.92 mg/gm) incontrol.
At 60 days after sowing it was maximum (17.92 mg/gm) in 10% vermicompost + 100 gm NPK and
minimum (9.68 mg/gm) in control. Carbohydrate content at 15 days after sowing was highest (37.52
mg/gm) in 10% vermicompost + 100 gm NPK and lowest (19.35 mg/gm) control. At 60 days it was also
observed highest (39.74 mg/gm) in 10% vermicompost + 100 gm NPK and lowest (21.41 mg/gm) in
control. The study concluded that organic manure and chemical fertilizers have a significant impact on the
photosynthetic pigments (chlorophyll, carotenoid) and biochemical components (protein, carbohydrate) of
wheat. The integrated application of organic manure (vermicompost, farmyard manure) and chemical
fertilizer (NPK, urea) is more helpful for enhancement of the photosynthetic pigments and biochemical
parameters. Among all the fertilizer combinations vermicompost along with NPK fertilizer is most
beneficial for increasing all these parameters of wheat.

Abstract- In our daily life human being generally come across stress resulting in various physical and
psychological ailments. Ancient Indian tradition provides various therapies such causes like yoga,
meditation and raga chikitsa. Raga chikitsa was an ancient manuscript which dealt with the therapeutic
effects of raga.
The raaga Bhilahari is associated with love. `Naajeevadara' of Tyagaraja in this raga has always
been popular. The saint, it is said, composed this in order to alleviate the acute stomach pain a man was
suffering from. His prayer was answered and the man had relief. `Krishnaleela Tarangini' of Narayana
Tirtha has the song `Poorayamamakamam' in Bhilahari. The saint cries out, "Hey! Gopala, bestow me
with all the goodness so that I can continue to sing your praise." This Bhilahari song ensures one vigour
and good health.
The raaga Rathipathipriya adds strength and vigour to a happy wedded life. This five-swara raga
has the power to eliminate poverty. The very prayoga of the swaras can wipe off the vibrations of bitter
feelings emitted by ill wills. `Jagajanani Sukavani Kalyani' composed by M. M. Dhandapani Desikar is a
very popular song in this raga. Singing or listening to Rathipathipriya bestows on one happiness and has a
stimulating effect.
The raaga Shanmugapriya has the effect of sharpening the intellect of the singer as well that of the
listener. It instils courage in one's mind and replenishes the energy in the body. This is not surprising
Shanmugapriya being the beloved raga of lord Shanmuga, who was born out of the blazing wisdom-eye
of Shiva.
The raaga Kalyani dispels the darkness of fear. It gives motherly comfort and increases
confidence. Kalyani means Mangalam. Recited with faith and devotion, the raga is believed to clinch

marriage alliances. There are many authentic reports about the raga's power to destroy fear which takes
many forms, fear of poverty, of love, of power, of ill health, of death and so on. The great Tamil poet,
Muthuthandavar sang "Chidambaram Ena En Manam Maghzinthida Japam Cheyya, Kodiya Janana
Maranam Ozhinthidum" in Kalyani.
The raaga Karaharapriya is an excellent remedy for worry, distress and neurotic disorders.
Tyagayya dissolves himself in the raaga as he sings "Chakkaniraja." `When the royal road is available
with all the comfort, why do you opt for dreaded lanes and bylanes' asks the saint.
The raaga Aaberi considered as a sacrilege to use Carnatic music ragas to compose film songs.
This in spite of the fact that artistes were chosen only based on their training in classical music. Stories
were narrated mainly through dance and music.
The power of Sankarabaranam is incredible. It cures mental illness, soothes the turbulent mind and
restores peace and harmony. Sankarabaranam, if rendered with total devotion for a stipulated period, can
cure mental disorders said to be beyond the scope of medical treatment. Arunachala Kavirayar,
Muthuthandavar, Suddhananda Bharathi, Marimutha Pillai and Mayooram Vedanayakam Pillai, have
rendered many sweet compositions in the raaga.
The raga charukesi rejuvenates the mind helping one to age gracefully. It enlivens the singer and the
hearer. The success of the song, `Manmatha Leelayai' sung by MKT confirms Charukesi's poetic and
phonetic vitality. `Adamodi kalathe' by Tyagabrahmam. `Kripaya palaya' by Swathi Thirunal are noted for
their aesthetic values.
The raaga Mohanam is present where beauty and love coexist. Mohanam is a mellifluous ragam. It
filters out the ill-effects of Kamam, Krodham and Moham bestowing immense benefits on the seeker.
`Rama ninnu nammina' by Tyagaraja, `Gopika manoharam nagalingam namami' by Muthuswamy
Dikshitar, `Mayil Vahana,' `Kapali' by Papanasam Sivan and `Ramanai Kannara Kandena' by Arunachala
Kavirayar are some of the melodious compositions often heard.
The raaga Desh suppression of the senses releases a negative force. The process of sublimation
needs a spiritual path. Its positive energy gives one serenity, peace, inner joy, right valour, universal love
and patriotism.
The raaga Maya Malava Gowlai' counters pollution. It can be called the gateway to Carnatic
music. Sarali varisai, Jantai varisai, Keezh sthayi varisai, Melsthayi varisai, Alankaram, Geetham,
Varnam, Keerthanam, Ragam, Thanam, Pallavi, Kalpanaswarangal and Neraval form the base of Carnatic
music learning. The history of Carnatic music says that the system of Mayamalava Gowlai was introduced

by the blessed musician, Purandaradasar. This raga has the potency to neutralise the toxins in our body.
Practising this raga in the early hours of the morning, in the midst of nature will enhance the strength of
the vocal chords.
My father was the guiding force in my research studies. When he was ill he had more faith in the
curative power of music than the medicines administered to him. I was once preparing to show the
remedial power of Ananda Bhairavi. He had challenged in public to test his blood pressure after hearing
Ananda Bhairavi from my aalapana. He had promised to preside over a function but became ill with
hypertension. Cajoled by the organisers he reluctantly came and to my utter surprise requested me to
render any raga, which could soothe him. I played Ananda Bhairavi elaborately. At the close of the
concert, He came up to the dais and announced that he was feeling much better. Ananda Bhairavi has such
soothing effect. Saint Tyagaraja in `O, Jagadambha' prays for the deity's blessing. Muthuswamy Dikshitar
underlines the importance of concentration and focus in `Manasa guru guha kripam bajare; Maya mama
hrith thapam thyajare' indicating Ananda Bhairavi's close link to matters of the heart. Tamil Odhuvar
Moorthigal generally use Ananda Bhairavi in rendering Thevaram, Thiruvachakam and Dhivya
Prabantham in temples.
The other raaga and its benefits are
a. Pooriya Dhansari (Hamsanandi-Kamavardini ) – evokes sweet, deep, heavy, cloudy and stable
state of mind and prevents acidity.
b. Bageshri – arouses a feeling of darkness, stability, depths and calmness. This raga is also used in
treatment of diabetes and hypertension.
c. Darbari (Darbari Kanada) – is considered very effective in easing tension. It is a late night raga
composed by Tansen for Akbar to relieve his tension after hectic schedule of the daily court life.
d. Raga Todi – give treamendous relief to patients of high blood pressure.
e. Raga Ahir-Bhairav (Chakravakam) – is supposed to sustain chords which automatically brings
down blood pressure.
f. Malkauns – helps to cure low blood pressure.
g. Bhairavi – Provides relief T.B, Cancer, Severe Cold, Phlegm, Sinus, toothache.
h. Malahari – Useful in the treatment of asthma and sunstroke.
i. Todi – Provides relief from cold and headache.
j. Hindol & Marava – These ragas are useful in blood purification.

River water pollution mainly occurs due to direct discharge of untreated sewage
and industrial effluents comprising of chemicals, organic pollutants, heavy metals and agricultural run-
off. Also, insufficient water in the receiving water bodies, available for dilution further intensifies the
water pollution problem.70% of the pollution load on the Indian waterbodies and streams is due to
partially or untreated sewage.
Hence, it is important that the
municipal authorities and various governmental agencies coordinate and assess the lacunae for bridging
the treatment gap by seeking strict implementation of existing regulations for sewage treatment and
proper operation and maintenance of sewage treatment plants.

throughout nature and all around us. The natural music that has been depleted to a large extent by
urbanization and has rather been replaced by too much of annoying noise all over still persists silently
beyond the chaos. Music can make learning more fun and engaging which is a great tool for
memorization. Music can help kids keep focus and remember things they learnt for a long time. Far from
being a distraction it helps people remember better. Evidence that music helps with memory has led to
researchers to study more about the impact of music on people who suffer memory loss.
Music activities improve brain power of human directly or indirectly development. Frequent studies have
been shown that participating in musical activities can increase children achievement in school, scores
and cognitive skill such as logical reasoning and memory. Music can be a highly expressive and
emotional form of communication. Music has been used on personal level in education and in
professional therapy which is called obviously, music therapy, to impart pleasant thoughts and to calm the
mind.
Music washes away from the soul, the dust of everyday life and inspires one to live a lofty life. There is
absolute tranquility and harmony, when the magical notes of music enter one‘s heart. Such experiences
are beyond words and can only be experienced. The notes of music take the listener to the region of the
unknown where there is only emotional ecstasy and transport him to a world of melody and sympathy.

(65) Air Pollution Monitoring and Management Using Plants with Special
Reference to Foliar Dust Adsorption and Physiological Stress Responses
Abhinav Yadav and A.S. Raghubanshi
*abhinavy11@gmail.com
Abstract- Air pollution has become a major environmental risk as far as public health is concerned. One
of the major air pollutantsis atmospheric particulate matter. Resuspended roadside dust isone of the
sources of these particulate matters. It iscomposed of several elements from various sources. The
elementalcomposition of these dust particulates varies with their size and the sources of origin.
Theseparticulates find their way onto the surfaces of leaves on the roadsidetrees depending upon their
gravity and environmental conditions. Thus, the assessment ofthe elemental distribution in dust adsorbed
over leaves in addition to eco-physiological variations in leaves, makes plants a suitable indicator of air
pollution. Moreover, eco-physiological alterations in plants can also indicate the level of pollution in the
respectiveareas. Hence, plants can be used as biomonitors as well as bioindicators ofair pollution. Dust
interception abilities of plants can be exploited to use them as sinks for atmosphericparticulate pollutants,
depending upon their eco-physiological responses. In this respect, urban plantation not only have an
ornamental function, but they have also a significant role in mitigation of air pollution in multifaceted
ways. Therefore, in the present study, we would be exploring the role of various urban plants and their
eco-physiological responses in terms of dust deposition and adsorption potential. The outcome of the
study may help in finding the suitable plantation strategies under different zones of urban area depending
upon their dust loading profiles. In addition, it would help in mitigating the diseases incurred by the free
dust deposition on human and related organisms.
Abstract – The prevalent deliberation among utmost Indians is that music is divine and corresponding to
life, even though gods are delighted by the music. In modern times too, it is persistent to declaim chants

and other hymns in extol of gods throughout the Hindu spiritual ceremonies. Often, these chants, hymns
and other incantations are recited musically because they are pleasant to the populace those are attending
worship. Similar to Music, Literature is a creative way of articulating the individual thoughts and feelings
achieved through the ingenious process. Music makes the literature more fascinating. In literature there
are myriad literary fractions which need musical expression including the couplet, the chant, the ballad,
the ode, and the lyric. Even, in one of the greatest Indian mythological epic Ramayana, there are bountiful
musical occurrences of couplets, quatrains, cants, and prosodies. The primary purpose of this research
paper is to do the in depth comprehensive studies about the demonstration of ancient Indian music and its
amalgamation with mythological literature. The paper attempts to explore the effects, music and
mythology have had on each other over the period of time in India.

Abstract- As mahseer is a sacred fish described in vedas, preserved and protected near many Hindu
temples, Brahmans call it ‗mahsia‘, meaning a fish of excellence. Mahseers, are important to most nations
in the Asian region for biodiversity reasons, and are also sought after as high-valued food and game fish
(Ng, 2004)Mahseer fish are a delicacy and valuable fish. However, due to developments in the
watersheds within the natural range of many Tor species, genetic erosion critical habitats, particularly
spawning grounds, have been disturbed. Together with increased fishing pressure on Tor species, this has
resulted in the depletion of natural stocks. To protect the fish from extinction and to conserve the natural
stocks, development of technology for breeding, nursing, rearing of fry and fingerlings as well as culture
technique of mahseer is essential. The aims of the present work is to create a base for the development of
aquaculture technology of the Mahseer with Indian major fishes in general, so that the species can be
introduced into commercial aquaculture of India.

investigation in the river with the stretch of around 150 kms for mahseer population from 2011 to
2015.Sampling was carried in upstream and downstream during pre and post monsoon periods. Results
revealed that mahseer population has been reduced to great extend ranging from 0.8% to 7.0%.The
minimum percentage was observed during 2015,Although the results show constant decrease in the
population from 2011.By creating and restoring some part of the river shores, a significant increase was
observed from 1.00% to 6.00%.
Abstract- Zooplanktons are microscopic organisms, acts as integral components of aquatic food web and
contribute significantly to productivity of freshwater ecosystems Zooplankton diversity is one of the most
important ecological parameters in water quality assessment. The distribution of Zooplanktons depend on
a complex of factors such as, change of climatic condition, physical and chemical parameters and
vegetation cover. The present study deals with the study of protozoan density and diversity in ―kaliyasot
reservior‖ of Bhopal. In the present investigation an attempt has been made to analyze the percentage
variation among all zooplankton collected and identified for the period of Dec 2013-july 2014 from the
four sites. During the course of present investigation, 14 species of free living protozoan were recorded
belonged to the three classes namely class Amoebae, Cilliata and Flagillata. Class Amoebae and Cilliata
contribute 5 species each while 4 species represented of class Flagillata were recorded .It has been

Abstract- The importance of music has/had been emphasized right from the time of ancient civilization.
It is believed that music keeps the mind and body in harmony. Particularly, if the music is rhythmic it
brings a positive effect in the brain and so in the well being of a human. The present paper gives an
outline of the possible scientific basis on the impact of Music and Envirnment in the development of
human and animal health.

Reviewing the literature available till date, it appears that music possibly helps in the well being of a
person/animal by keeping him/her happy, reducing the stress and anxiety, easing the pain and improving
the memory and cognition behavior. If it is listened in the proper environment, the positive health effects
can be increased.
It is postulated that the possible mechanism could be through the improvement of neuro-endocrinological
functions of the body. In fact, the health of a person depends largely on the neuro-hormonal system that
regulates all most all body functions. The basic requirement is that, it should be rhythmic. Since best
music also needs to be rhythmic, music does have a scientific basis for our well being. This could be a
reason that study of Bio-rhythm has been overemphasized recently and the Nobel Prize has been given
last year on this aspect.
ABSTRACT- Recently the need for prevention of environment pollution has created growing debate
about focus on the right to development of economic conditions of under-developed and developing
countries. The development has to be sustainable one in wider perspective and embraces wider ecological
space vis a vis Socio-Eco-Politico including the legal elements.
Development which meets the needs of universe and its people is the foundational justification of development
with preserving environment i.e. Sustainable Development. Continuous development process is precondition
of sustainable development, so that future operations are not curtailed. The codependency between
development and environment cannot be ignored. Economic growth and economic reforms must not only
guarantee the achievement of social justice and targets of prosperous society but also utilize environment in a
sustainable way.
In the preceding half century, human actions have changed the diversity of life on the planet more than at
any other time in history. Our activities have lifted many people out of poverty, but at the price of a loss
of biodiversity. But what is biodiversity after all and is it available to all? This paper addresses the major
concerns of pollution and the concepts of Biodiversity and Sustainable Development with legal reforms.

Abstract: Music is an integral part of the cultural heritage of any society or community. Every culture has
its own musical aesthetics and practices. Spirituality refers to the condition or the state of human mind to
experience the awareness outside the boundaries of material world and due to that unique state of mind,
spirituality leads to the love, compassion and the feeling of oneness which is universal.
By considering these aspects, music can be employed to inculcate the
values of love, compassion, ethical practices, responsibility towards the world we live by spiritual
progress of the people. These are the values required for achieving the well-known Sustainable
Development Goals (SDGs) for 2030 adopted by the United Nations in September 2015 to fight poverty,
inequality, injustice, food scarcity, climate etc.

Emotions –
Music is a language of emotions which comes from heart and goes into other heart. When this
happens two persons come together and feel the feelings of one another.
Todays world is of Globalization and there are a lot of tensions. When we hear a melodious Music
these tensions run away. We get relief from lots of diseases like highper tensions, B.P., Heart attacks,
mental disease paralisis, Psychological problems which are prevented by Music.
Co-ordination –
There should be Co-operdination between Guru-shishya Tal, Sur, Singing, Sam, kal, matra, laya,
bola rhythm, Singer-instrument player – Tabla player so that the Musical presentation will be the best. In
group song there is co-ordination between singers, male-female singers. so the whole group will co-
ordinate each other and the performance will excellent.
Desipline –
Desipline is one of the major factors of Music. The student of Music would come in the classroom
He will keep his Shoes, chappals outside the classroom in line He will sit in definite position. The
instrument and play or sing in specific way. He looks different from other Student. While singing he has
to follow the discipline of Rag, tal, sum, laya and theka. He should sing note perfectly without mistake.
All these practices make him to be disciplined person.
Concentration –
While singing or playing an instrument he has to concentrate on singing the note. Even though
there is noice, he should listen only the note and sing. When he looses the concentration, the notes will not
be perfect. So his mind should be calm and quiet and should concentrate. So the concentration of Music
student is more than that of other students.
Politeness –
Music subject is learnt by Guru-shishya pampara. Student, the shishya should be polite to learn
from his Guru. Long hack Music was taught in this way. The shishya has to go to live with Guru in his
house where he used to work heard, Guru was like parents toward whom student should be polite.
Politeness is one of the virtue a best of a student. There is a Sanskrite quote

Imagination –
In Indian Classical Music Rag, which has rules without breaking them, He has to sing that Rag.
Imaginations of raga is just like drawing with different colours. The imaginations from his mind are on
the white canvas. The swara vistar, Bandish Alap, Tan, Bol alap, bottan, adhat, alankaars different types
of tanas are the combinations of that Rag which give beauty to singing. within the rules of Rag and tal. He
has to sing by coming at perfect Sum.
Perfection –
Music student has to become perfect for Sur, tal, laya, laykari, sum, kal etc. So perfectbness is one
of the quality of Music student which makes him different from others. Afterwords this perfections comes
in his every work & life.
Health –
One who wants to sing has to built his health. Music is one type of Pranayam under Yoga. This
gives exercise to lungs, heart, and Brain. Ample oxygen is provided to bronchioles and each small part of
ones body through blood. This keeps our body healthy. Riyaz of Sur on Tanpura, Omkar practice,
alankars increase ne[ke which is nothing but pranayam.
Happiness –
Happiness is one of the great things in life. The ultimate goal of life is happiness. The dakness of
heart is thrown out by Music. Which make ones life peaceful.Todays world is very stressful. To live
peacefully in this world is an Art. This comes from Music.
Petriotism –
Students learn petriotism through Music by Singing patriotic songs. Every person should be proud
of his country, i.e. his Maturubhumi. He has to pay the debts to land which gave birth to him.
Spiritually –
Music student takes efforts to give perfect Performance of Music. He know one can work hard
practice for singing but while performance he requests God & pray for best performance. He knows there
is Super power which controls the world. At the end every thing is in his hand. This develops spirituality.
Music is a shortest way to reach this Superpower/GOD. Musician goes. in ―Ganasamadhi‖. This gives
him ultimate happiness lfPpnkuan which gives man peace of life which is very important Stage.

of the cities. They reproduce by means of flowers, produce seeds and multiply through them. Different
animals help plants to pollinate or eat or disperse their seeds.
Today, we all know that man made noise badly affect the general physical and mental health of human
beings. Researches show that birds and other animals also change their behavior in response to manmade
noises such as the din of traffic or the hum of machinery.Because they can‘t move, many plants rely on
birds and other animals to deliver pollen from one flower to the next, or to disperse their
seeds.Hummingbirds prefer noisy places so pollination is also more in these areas but other birds avoid
noisy places so plants pollinated through them show low seed setting. Many animals not only eat the
seeds they also tend to hide these seeds in soil. They forget the seeds and such seeds germinate into new
plants. But such animals need quiet places so the dispersion of these seeds is badly affected.
Anthropogenic soundscapes have or will encompass nearly all terrestrial habitat types, potentially
impacting innumerable species interactions both directly and indirectly.
In contrast to this, harmonious sound as classical music facilitates the germination and growth of plants,
irrespective of the music genre. The increased rate of growth in terms of more flowers, leaves, buds etc. show that
specific audible frequencies including music can benefit the agricultural sector by increasing the productivity.

Abstract- Continuous busy life and constant pressure in the workplace may precipitate many illness
symptoms. Music can be used as one of the low cast and no side effect therapy when used with individual
preferences. In many cases music appears to induce direct physiologic effects through the autonomic
nervous system. With individual choice, rhythmic and constant musical tone has a profound effect not
only on human but animals also. If used properly music has some therapeutic effects in many illnesses
instead of taking medicine. In many cases with severe pain due to accident, osteoarthritis, sleep-disc,
sciatica and other joint related and nerve compression diseases up to 21 to 25% patients show profound
effect and fast recovery. Classical music for 30 minutes reduces blood pressure effectively. Slow music
produces a calmness and slowdown heart beat and pulse rate. It also decreases post-natal anxiety and pain,
reduces likelihood of post-partum depression. Pleasant music can create appositive and profound

Abstract- All indian dances are based on spirituality. Most indian dances have originated in temples and
were performed by devdasis as an offering to God. Today such dances have evolved from temples to
stages but all these dances are performed as an offering or as an amalgamation og Jiva with Parmatma.
Raslila, bharatanatyam, etc are the classic examples. Dance is the only genre where the artist has the
unique privilege of portraying through abhinaya not only devotion but deity himself. Though it is
accepted that there are many ways to reach God, dance and music is believed to be the easiest and most
dependable of all paths. Music and dance are offered with the same spirit of devotion and surrender as
other materials of worship like flowers, incense, sweet, etc. Thus as spirituality is an integral part of any
Indian dance, so is Indian dance the essence of spirituality.
Water pollution is the contamination of water bodies (e.g. lakes, rivers, oceans, aquifers and groundwater).
This form of environmentaldegradation occurs when pollutants are directly or indirectly discharged into
water bodies without adequate treatment to remove harmful compounds.Water pollution affects the entire
biosphere of plants and organisms living in these water bodies, as well as organisms and plants that might
be exposed to the water. In almost all cases the effect is damaging not only to individual species and
populations, but also to the naturalbiological communities.Water pollution is a major global problem
which requires ongoing evaluation and revision of water resource policy at all levels (international down
to individual aquifers and wells). It has been suggested that water pollution is the leading worldwide

cause of deaths and diseases,[1][2] and that it accounts for the deaths of more than 14,000 people
daily.[2] An estimated 580 people in India die of water pollution related illness every day.[3] About 90
percent of the water in the cities of China is polluted.[4] As of 2007, half a billion Chinese had no access to
safe drinking water.[5] In addition to the acute problems of water pollution in developing
countries, developed countries also continue to struggle with pollution problems. For example, in the most
recent national report on water quality in the United States, 44 percent of assessed stream miles, 64
percent of assessed lake acres, and 30 percent of assessed bays and estuarine square miles were classified
as polluted.[6] The head of China's national development agency said in 2007 that one quarter the length of
China's seven main rivers were so poisoned the water harmed the skin.[7]
Groundwater pollution:
Interactions between groundwater and surface water are complex. Consequently, groundwater
pollution, also referred to as groundwater contamination, is not as easily classified as surface water
pollution.[8] By its very nature, groundwateraquifers are susceptible to contamination from sources that
may not directly affect surface water bodies, and the distinction of point vs. non-point source may be
irrelevant. A spill or ongoing release of chemical or radionuclide contaminants into soil (located away
from a surface water body) may not create point or non-point source pollution but cancontaminate the
aquifer below, creating a toxic plume. The movement of the plume, called a plume front, may be analyzed
through a hydrological transport model or groundwater model. Analysis of groundwater contamination
may focus on soil characteristics and site geology, hydrogeology, hydrology, and the nature of the
contaminants.
Thermal pollution:
Thermal pollution is the rise or fall in the temperature of a natural body of water caused by human
influence. Thermal pollution, unlike chemical pollution, results in a change in the physical properties of
water. A common cause of thermal pollution is the use of water as a coolant by power plants and
industrial manufacturers. Elevated water temperatures decrease oxygen levels, which can kill fish and
alter food chaincomposition, reduce species biodiversity, and foster invasion by
[8][5][4]
new thermophilicspecies. Urban runoff may also elevate temperature in surface waters.
Thermal pollution can also be caused by the release of very cold water from the base of reservoirs into
warmer rivers.

several days are required for incorporation into planktonic tissue. The Hudson discharge flows south
along the coast due to the coriolis force. Further south are areas of oxygen depletion caused by chemicals
using up oxygen and by algae blooms, caused by excess nutrients from algal cell death and
decomposition. Fish and shellfish kills have been reported, because toxins climb the food chain after small
fish consume copepods, then large fish eat smaller fish, etc. Each successive step up the food chain causes
a cumulative concentration of pollutants such as heavy metals (e.g. mercury) andpersistent organic
pollutants such as DDT. This is known as bio-magnification, which is occasionally used interchangeably
with bio-accumulation.
Control of pollution:
Decisions on the type and degree of treatment and control of wastes, and the disposal and use of
adequately treatedwastewater, must be based on a consideration all the technical factors of each drainage
basin, in order to prevent any further contamination or harm to the environment.[6]
Sewage treatment:
In urban areas of developed countries, domestic sewage is typically treated by centralized sewage
treatment plants. Well-designed and operated systems (i.e., secondary treatment or better) can remove 90
percent or more of the pollutant load in sewage. Some plants have additional systems to remove nutrients
and pathogens.
Cities with sanitary sewer overflows or combined sewer overflows employ one or
more engineering approaches to reduce discharges of untreated sewage, including:
utilizing a green infrastructure approach to improve storm water management capacity throughout the
system, and reduce the hydraulic overloading of the treatment plant[5]
repair and replacement of leaking and malfunctioning equipment[7]
increasing overall hydraulic capacity of the sewage collection system (often a very expensive option).
A household or business not served by a municipal treatment plant may have an individual septic
tank, which pre-treats the wastewater on site and infiltrates it into the soil.
Some industrial facilities generate ordinary domestic sewage that can be treated by municipal
facilities. Industries that generate wastewater with high concentrations of conventional pollutants (e.g. oil
and grease), toxic pollutants (e.g. heavy metals, volatile organic compounds) or other non-conventional
pollutants such as ammonia, need specialized treatment systems. Some of these facilities can install a pre-
treatment system to remove the toxic components, and then send the partially treated wastewater to the
municipal system. Industries generating large volumes of wastewater typically operate their own complete
on-site treatment systems. Some industries have been successful at redesigning their manufacturing
processes to reduce or eliminate pollutants, through a process called pollution prevention.

Sediment (loose soil) washed off fields is the largest source of agricultural pollution in the United
[8]
States. Farmers may utilize erosion controls to reduce runoff flows and retain soil on their fields.
Common techniques include contour plowing, crop mulching, crop rotation, planting perennial crops and
installing riparian buffers.[7][6]:pp. 4-95–4-96
Nutrients (nitrogen and phosphorus) are typically applied to farmland as commercialfertilizer,
animal manure, or spraying of municipal or industrial wastewater (effluent) or sludge. Nutrients may also
enter runoff from crop residues, irrigation water, wildlife, andatmospheric deposition.[4]:p. 2–9 Farmers can
develop and implement nutrient managementplans to reduce excess application of nutrients[9][8]:pp. 4-37–4-
38
and reduce the potential fornutrient pollution.
Effective control of urban runoff involves reducing the velocity and flow of storm water, as well
as reducing pollutant discharges. Local governments use a variety of storm water management techniques
to reduce the effects of urban runoff. These techniques, called best management practices (BMPs) in the
U.S., may focus on water quantity control, while others focus on improving water quality, and some
perform both functions.[9]
Pollution prevention practices include low-impact development techniques, installation of green roofs and
improved chemical handling (e.g. management of motor fuels & oil, fertilizers and pesticides).[9] Runoff
mitigation systems includeinfiltration basins, bioretention systems, constructed wetlands, retention
basins and similar devices.[1][3]

The problem
Environmental pollution is one of the biggest problems of mankind nowadays. Some scientists even say
that this problem is threatening the further existence of mankind. Pollution is on all levels – atmosphere,
soil, and water resources, it also includes radio active pollution.(Paranjpe 1989).
The centralclaim
Agnihotra helps to mitigate environmental pollution in all the areas mentioned above. Agnihotra comes
fromVedic Science – and it is based on Sound, Vibration, and Resonance.
Data sources and analytical approach
Agnihotra and Homa Therapy are revealed knowledge of theVedas. We take such vedic statements and
treat them as hypotheses in terms of modern science, trying to confirm or refute these statements by
conducting experiments in the different fields.
Examples
Pathogenicbacteria in air can be controlledby Agnihotra (Punam /Kumari 2015, Pathade/Abhang 2014).
Water can be purified by Agnihotra (Berk/Sharma 2015)
Beneficial microbes in soil thrive where as pathogenic microbes in soil are controlled by Agnihotra Ash
(Berde /Kulkarni 2015).
The energy field of Agnihotra is going beyond the range of electromagnetic fields as could be shown in an
experiment with Faraday cages. This seems to confirm the concept of PRANA energy as mentioned in
Vedictexts. (Berk/Sharma 2015)

Implications
As environmental pollution affects health of plants, animals, and humans, purification of our environment
will have a very beneficial effect on our physical and emotional wellbeing, on the health of animals, in
agriculture and horticulture, and it will benefit all of Nature (Berk/Johnson 2009, Berk 2015).

Abstract— Anthropogenic underwater noise is now recognized as a worldwide problem, and Without doubt, anthropogenic
sound from cargo ships, sonar, seismic testing, drilling, pile drivers, recreational holiday ships, and etc. has continued to grow
in the last century. Consequently, the level of underwater background noise worldwide has increased correspondingly due to
increased anthropogenic activities. Most marine animals, particularly marine mammals and fish, are very sensitive to sound.
Noise can travel long distances underwater, benthic large areas and potentially preventing marine animals from hearing their
prey or predators, finding their way, or connecting with mates, group members, or their young. Decreased species diversity in
whales and dolphins was related to an increase in anthropogenic activities.
Noise has deafened fish, produced dramatically reduced catch rates, caused stress responses, and interfered with fish
communication, schooling, and possibly the selection of suitable habitat. Whales have moved from their feeding and breeding
grounds and shown stress due to noise. Noise has been thought to contribute to several whale species population declines or
lack of recovery. Noise in the form of naval sonar or seismic surveys can be deadly to cetaceans (whale and dolphin) in at least
some cases. Whales have been found to die within hours, by stranding or deaths at sea, from even a transient and relatively
brief exposure to moderate levels of mid-frequency military sonar. The topic of anthropogenic ocean noise is a fast-moving,
maturing scientific discipline. From its initially narrow focus on naval applications to the first, prescient suggestion that whales
may be affected by ocean noise across very long distances. The human activity most responsible for spreading noise beneath
the waves is the traffic that transports people, their possessions and their products. More than 60,000 medium to very large
commercial vessels are on the sea each year. Ninety percent of global trade is seaborne; the amount of trade carried by sea has
quadrupled since 1970 and doubled over the last two decades. The combination of increasing amounts of commercial maritime
trade, and increasing speed of the vessels in that trade, has increased the amount of noise that shipping traffic is spreading
throughout the ocean. Indeed, the sound of commercial shipping is virtually ubiquitous throughout the global sea.
Thus, underwater noise is clearly a serious issue for marine species, although the full scale of the problem
is difficult to determine. I would regard the technical expertise of marine biology, and its Fisheries and Aquaculture
Department in particular, as needed in carrying out evaluations on the socioeconomic impacts of underwater noise
on fishing catch rates. This could be a starting point because, generally speaking, there is significant scope to study
negative impacts of underwater noise on marine biodiversity. Noise levels are steadily rising, so ocean noise must
be managed both nationally and internationally before irreversible damage to biodiversity and the marine ecosystem
occurs. In light of the data gaps, I would recommend a precautionary approach in the management of undersea
noise.

Abstract- The human body, mind and spirit are entities which can heal themselves when given a chance.
This healing can occur in several ways out of which this presentation focuses on healing through the
modality of relaxation. The process of relaxation of the mind and the body are manifested through
physiological, psychological and spiritual considerations.
Our body can be relaxed through many different ways such as singing, meditation, praying, through
electromagnetic waves etc. We, here, are focusing on relaxation through the effects of sound and music.
On a deeper level, the actual meaning of relaxation is the slowing of a faster beating heart up to a level of
60 beats per minute and slowing of the breathing and the deepening of breathes.
The sounds and music being played in our background has a profound effect on our nervous system and
on our cardiac activity. Rhythms which are in harmony with the rhythm of the heart have a strengthening
effect on the body and make the person more lively, while any sound which is in dissonance with heart
creates anxiety.
Music has religious as well as spiritual connections which affect the body. Thus, on a whole, music of
surroundings has a great effect which will be discussed in the presentation.
Bharti Joshi,
Abstract- Music has been associated with physical and emotional healing thought ancient Indian history.
Music can serve to express human emotions such as joy, sorrow, loneliness, happy and has done so very
powerful . Music is a language of human communication in all over the world. Human were already

festivals, worship and personal reasons. The nature of the music influences the change human mood it
depend on pitch, tempo and melodic aspects. Slow and descending melodies are cause of feeling of
sadness. Music can improve human‘s cognitive performance, memory, reduce stress, help manage pain,
better sleep, reduce the symptoms of depression. Music making is also often a highly intrinsically
motivational factor for human. It also seems extraordinarily helpful for children who had developmental
or behaviour problems. Music is a true communication form. It seems very unlikely that the actual sound
waves created by the music played have a physical impact on any physical system in the body, such as the
nervous system feeling pain, the respiratory system, blood pressure, pulse rate, as well as the emotions
and thoughts.
Abstract- Electronics engineers work in a rapidly advancing profession that is key to the development of
the world‘s IT.Electronics engineers create, design and develop everyday devices such as mobile phones,
portable music devices and computers. Electronic engineering offers the chance to produce new
innovations and developments in telecommunications, robotics, computing hardware, and power and
electrical equipment. There is plenty of scope to specialise within the field, with areas of expertise
including audio, visual and light electronic equipment; control systems and automation; and
microelectronics (computer chips) and telecommunications. There is currently a shortage of electronics
engineers around the world – a situation likely to continue for some time to come. Typical duties for an
electronics engineer include. A key actuated electronic musical instrument of the type suitable for use
with piano or organ keyboards, or the like, has a single relaxation oscillator circuit for producing melody
tones from selected keys of a keyboard, and three relaxation oscillator circuits for producing chord tones
from other selected keys of the keyboard. A delta pitch circuit which produces a sawtooth-like output
signal is coupled to one of the inputs of the single oscillator to provide a rapidly changing sound going
from a flat tone to a natural tone. The signals for producing melody sounds are delivered through a
selective filter circuit which will selectively simulate the sounds of, for example, a saxophone, brass,
horn, or a string instrument. The sound signal from the filter circuit is then delivered to an audio amplifier

and loud-speaker system. The three oscillator signals for producing chord sounds are mixed together in a
transistor buffer stage and then delivered to the audio amplifier through a gate circuit formed by a light-
emitting diode and a light-dependent resistor. The gate circuit is responsive to an automatic rhythm
generator so that chord sounds may have a selected rhythm. Also connected to the audio amplifier is the
automatic rhythm sound generator which can play one of several rhythms utilizing desired percussion
sounds. An adjustable vibrato circuit is connected to the melody oscillator to produce a pulsating sound
that can be varied in frequency.

Abstract- The growing amount of plastic waste in landfills has raised a serious concern about the soil richness among the
conservationist. The daily door-to-door waste collection service by the civic body amounts to have the highest composition of
plastic in it. Apart from excessive use of plastic bags, loose disposal and improper segregation of waste is a serious concern for
soil wealth, its fertility. Environmentalists say that a large quantity of plastic dumping can affect the percolation of water. So
steps should be taken to protect the soil fertility. Modern life is impossible without plastic, but there's a catch. Some of the
properties that make it so useful, like its low price, light weight and strength, also make it hard to dispose of. In India, in place
of reprocess all our plastic waste, we send a third of it straight to landfill. That's a waste of wealth, and a misuse of power. To
make things worse, millions of tones of this waste end up in the oceans. Birds, turtles and sea life get tangled in plastic bags
and abandoned fishing equipment, or they die from eating plastic debris. Over time, larger pieces of plastic break down into
tiny particles called micro plastic, which can form a sort of plastic soup. These particles can soak up chemical additives and
endocrine disruptors, and when they are eaten and enter the food sequence, they can finish up on our dishes.

rotaries of the cities. They reproduce by means of flowers, produce seeds and multiply through them.
Different animals help plants to pollinate or eat or disperse their seeds.
Today, we all know that man made noise badly affect the general physical and mental health of human
beings. Researches show that birds and other animals also change their behavior in response to manmade
noises such as the din of traffic or the hum of machinery. Because they can‘t move, many plants rely on
birds and other animals to deliver pollen from one flower to the next, or to disperse their seeds.
Hummingbirds prefer noisy places so pollination is also more in these areas but other birds avoid noisy
places so plants pollinated through them show low seed setting. Many animals not only eat the seeds they
also tend to hide these seeds in soil. They forget the seeds and such seeds germinate into new plants. But
such animals need quiet places so the dispersion of these seeds is badly affected. Anthropogenic
soundscapes have or will encompass nearly all terrestrial habitat types, potentially impacting innumerable
species interactions both directly and indirectly.
In contrast to this, harmonious sound as classical music facilitates the germination and growth of plants,
irrespective of the music genre. The increased rate of growth in terms of more flowers, leaves, buds etc.
show that specific audible frequencies including music can benefit the agricultural sector by increasing
the productivity.

Abstract- Since the beginning of industrialization the variety and quantity of pollutants emitted in to
atmosphere have steadily increased. These pollutants may originate from industrial west, petroleum, toxic
chemicals and from other anthropogenic activity. Water is used in almost every important human activity.
It is an important element in both domestic as well as industrial purposes. However a closer observation
of our water resources today, gives us a rude shock. The contamination of water bodies in simplest words
means water pollution. Thereby the abuse of lakes, ponds, rivers, reservoirs, oceans etc is water
pollution. Pollution of water occurs when substances that will modify the water in negative fashion are
discharged in it. This discharge of pollutants can be direct as well as indirect.

Abstract- Butterflies play a critical role in our environment. They are indicator and are pollinator species.
They maintain symbiotic relationship with environment. They pollinate the plants resulting in further
development of plant species. Butterflies are also helpful in conservation of resources as their preferences

for native plants can be considered an environmental benefit. As the adult butterfly and the larval
caterpillar are good food resources for birds and lizards, they help in encouraging habitats and wildlife.
The present study conducted in Dhamnod region; district Dhar, Madhya Pradesh, India from May 2016 to
April 2017. A total 49 species are found. They divided into 06 genera and 13 families. Among 13 families
Nymphalidae was most dominant. The habitats of butterflies covered by host plants like Cassia tora,
Aristolochia bracteolate, A. indica, A. tagala.
The study suggested that the butterflies are comes to disappearances. They react quickly to changed
environment. We need to take steps to conserve them. Conserving butterflies will improve our whole
environment for wildlife.

Abstract - Water deprivation is a major concern, involving both the quality and the availability of water.
According to the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, over 230 million people live in 26
countries classified as water deficient. It is expected that by 2025 almost two thirds of the world‘s
population are likely to experience some types of water stress and for 1 billion of them; the shortage will
be severe and socially disruptive. Water scarcity hits the poor and almost vulnerable first and hardest, as
impoverished families draw most heavily on ―Common Property‖ resources such as water bodies and
shore fishing grounds. At the same time, the wealthy and affluent and also industry, tend to draw more
heavily on these.
Women are the managers of the family‘s water budget. Because of the fact that woman use water for most
of the domestic chores in the home, they are considered vitally important in water conservation. Women
also make decision on the installation of water saving devices. When woman save water in the home, they
also educate their children and family members about the importance of water conservation. Finally,
Woman themselves need to cut down on water use via substitution of water saving methods and other
personal adjustments. Overall, water conservation via involvement of the public can be effective when
women are actively involved as they are the key players towards achieving sustainable management of
water resources.

Agriculture is the backbone of our national economy and rural pollution provide the most important
production factor for this sector that is labor force. It employs nearly 52 percent of total labor force and
women constitute almost 73 percent of this agricultural labor force if all those who are worked in the part
time basis are also counted. They are working in a close proximity of nature. Despite the fact of the
women take an activity part in basic agriculture and fish production, too often irrigation or other water
development projects do not take into account women as participants in the development process. Water
is needed for many purposes in the household sanitation and water disposal, child care vegetable growing
and food processing. Women not only collect it for domestic purposes but also sometimes for the
economic use.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY:
Population: Mothers coming to the labor room, Sample size: 40 mothers, Sample technique: Non-
probability purposive sampling.
Effectiveness of music therapy in labor pain intensity in primi mothers findings shows that the mean pain
score of control group (6.96) is higher than the experimental group (3.09). In multi mothers‘ findings
shows that the mean score of control group (6.10) is higher than the experimental group (2.84).
Effectiveness of music therapy in the level of anxiety in primi mothers shows that the mean anxiety score
of control group (4.81) is higher than the experimental group (2.42). In multi mothers‘ findings shows that
the mean anxiety score of control group (5.39) is higher than the experimental group (2.0). This
significantly proved that music therapy is a better complementary therapy in the reduction of labor pain
and anxiety among mothers in labor.

ABSTRACT- In this paper serious toxicological impact on public health has been studied. It significantly
affects the lives of people; .Dangerous chemicals escape to the environment by a number of natural and/or
anthropogenic activities and may cause adverse effects on human health and the environment. Air
pollution has both acute and chronic effects on human health, affecting a number of different systems and
organs surveyed in different hospitals. It ranges from minor upper respiratory irritation to chronic
respiratory and heart disease, lung cancer, acute respiratory infections in children and chronic bronchitis
in adults, infuriating pre-existing heart and lung disease, or asthmatic attacks. In addition, short- and long-
term exposures have also been linked with premature mortality and reduced life expectancy. The effects
of air pollutants on human health and their mechanism of action are noticed. The children and the elderly
people are found to be more affected by diseases caused due to polluted air because carcinogens are found
in it. Its mortality rate is higher in urban areas.
Air pollutions control is vital and should be on the top of priority list of the governments. The policy
makers and legislators in these countries must update all laws and regulations related to air pollutions.
Coordination between different departments involving in air pollutions must be leaded by a powerful
environmental protection organization. An effective environmental protection organization should have
enough budgets for administration, research, development, monitoring, and full control of the

environment including air pollution. Air quality standards need to be made stricter if a lower level of
pollutant affects health more than previously thought.
