Quiz Rules

The quiz competition consists of three rounds: a preliminary round with multiple-choice questions, an elimination round with fill-in-the-blank questions, and a final round with various stages including specific topics and lifelines. PRELIMINARY ROUND

1. Each team will be given a set of question papers containing 20 multiple-choice objective-type
questions. The following rules will be applied for the preliminary round.

2. Time limit: 20 minutes.

3. Each question will carry 1 mark.

ELIMINATION ROUND:

1. Each team will be given a set of question papers containing 20 fill in the blanks type questions. The
following rules will be applied for the preliminary round.

2. Time limit: 20 minutes.

3. Each question will carry 1 mark.

4. Only top four teams will be selected for final round.

5. In case of tie between two or more teams, further five questions will be asked for final selection. This
step will be continued till the selection of 4 teams.

FINAL QUIZ/STAGE ROUND:

The final round will be comprised of the following stages:

Stage 1: Each round comprises of two questions for each team and the response time is 1 minute.

1. Round 1: Sports

2. Round 2: Entertainment

3. Round 3: Audio/Visual

Stage 2: Each round comprises of two questions for each team and will have three lifelines phone a
friend, 50:50 and flip the question. There is no time limit.

1. Round 4: Indian History

2. Round 5: Indian Geography

3. Round 6: Science and Technology

4. Round 7: Indian Constitution

5. Round 8: Current Affairs


Stage 3: Rapid Fire round

The following rules will be applicable for the final round:

1.10 marks will be awarded for the correct answer and 5 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

2. The response time for each question is 30 seconds and the time limit is 3 minutes.

3. There is no pass option.

4. Team discussion is allowed.
