Task
In some countries today, university tuition is too steep and cannot be afforded. As
in America, college tuition is so expensive that the schools have to make student
loans and many people drop out of college. Faced with this situation, a solution has
been given, which is giving free of charge higher learning for all classes of people.
I fully support this measure and the following essay will explain my point.
If tertiary-level education is free of cost for everyone, even the poors, more people
will be able to come to college. At the university, all classes of people will
converge. This can help to erase the gap between the rich and the poor. There will
be no distinction between classes and people without status will not be
discriminated against. The equality in society will be established. Students do not
have to borrow money to pay tuition fees from the school, making their life after
graduation no longer burdened with student debt. They will receive the correct
amount of their salary without being reduced by debt payments, the full amount
will help them to cover their lives. In addition, the more money they receive, the
more money they spend on other needs. The purchase and trade taking place more
will promote the progress of the economy, helping the development of the country.
So, while the government will have to pay for the further education, they will also
receive major strides in the economy.
Contrary to free of charge higher education, tuition paid by parents or students has
too many limitations. For example, if a student has a profitable loan with the
school, but cannot find a job immediately after graduation to pay off the loan, the
amount will increase over time and to the point where they are unable to repay.
This will definitely affect the students' later life and will ruin their future. This
action will also waste the country's proficiency. People with intelligence but born
in low-class families will not have the opportunity to go to school to make more
progress. The country will waste talented people who can develop the country if
they are fully educated. Young people with good ability will not be able to dedicate
their abilities to the country.
From the above, we see that free university education is a worth-trying solution
and should be applied in many countries where colleges’ tuition is too precious. I
wholeheartedly support this idea and hope that more countries will approach this
measure.
