1. PAST SIMPLE (QUÁ KHỨ ĐƠN)

★ Cấu trúc

Động từ "To-be" Động từ "To-be"

(+) S + was/ were + N/Adj. S + Ved/ BQT + (O).

S + wasn't/ weren't + N/Adj. S + didn't + V+ (O).
(?) Was/Were + S + N/Adj? Did + S +V+ (O)?
- Yes, S + was/ were. - Yes, S + did.
- No, S + wasn't/ weren't. - No, S + didn't.

Cách thêm đuôi -ed vào sau động từ
Thông thường, ta thêm đuôi -ed vào sau động từ
E.g. want → wanted (mong muốn), look → looked (nhìn), finish → finished (kết thúC),...
Động từ kết thúc bằng đuôi “-e" và “-ee“, ta chỉ thêm đuôi -d

E.g. love → loved (yêu thích), agree → agreed (dồng ý), believe → believed (tin tuong)...
Động từ kết thúc bằng phụ âm + “y", ta chuyển “y" thành "i" và thêm đuôi -ed
E.g. study → studied (học), worry → worried (lo láng), marry → married (kết hôn),...
Động từ kết thúc bằng nguyên âm + phụ âm, ta gấp đôi phụ âm cuối và thêm đuôi -ed

E.g. plan → planned (lên kéế hoạch), stop → stopped (dừng lại), fit → fitted (làm cho vừa),...
