Saint Catherine
The day of the Christmas party finally arrived, and the classroom was alive with excited energy.
Every corner of the room was decorated, decorating the usual learning space. There were twinkling lights
and handmade decorations strung about bringing a holiday feel to the space. As students walked into the
room, you could feel and see the excitement in the student’s demeanor. Many had colorful attire which
amplified the excitement. The joy of coming together was evident by the children’s laughter and chats as
they greeted and wished one another a happy holiday.
RECOLLECTION 2024-2025
On the day of the Grade 9 Saint Catherine’s, the students participated in a meaningful and
reflective experience that encouraged self-discovery, group bonding, and spiritual growth. The
recollection, facilitated by Sister Veda and Sister Vicky, was centered round the theme of Pilgrims of
Hope, an exploration of faith, journey, and the importance of hope in their lives
They conducted an activity for each group about getting to know more each other and what do
they felt about Abraham’s experience. Additionally, Sister Felicia and Sister Fransiska was present, they
are from Indonesia who is traveling across to the world to become a missionary Sisters.
After the activity, Sister Veda then continued the topic. As time passed, Sister Veda asked the
students to have the time themselves to reflect on themselves.
In the afternoon, Students of Saint Catherine had a blast playing hide and seek and blindfold tag
in one room, enjoying each other’s company without the distractions of phones.
After all the fun and games they headed upstairs for their next activity, “sharing” they discussed
about Carlo Acutis, a millennial saint and how his life inspired them. Each person shared their favorite
quote from Carlos Acutis, sparking meaningful conversations.
The recollection activity came to a close with a group photo shoot, capturing memories of their
fun-filled and meaningful afternoon together. The photos served as a documentation of their special day
preserving the smiles and laughter they shared
