This rack fully equipped provides for:

– 2 Service circuit modules

– 3 Auxiliary control elements
– 8 Digital trunk modules or ECHO canceller modules or any mix of these modules or
6 DTM + 2 DIAM (dynamic integrated announcement module)
– 2 Common channel modules
– 3 Terminal sub units

1.2. Power figures

Rack consumption for actual traffic 0,999E = 1247W

All values are given in watts and should be taken as reference; detailed calculations, based upon latest
power figures, should be made for each application.

2. CONSIDERATIONS TO BUILD UP THE RACK

This rack provides DTM’s without cross–over. In case of RIM application of DTM’s the cabling has to be
changed CAE dependent in order to get two RIM’s crossed over.

2.1. PBA equipment options

Legend for rack layout:

* CLTD PBA is only used for leadracks

# In case of conf. bridge required:

– Remove MFP
– Replace MFF by SCB

Minimum equipment
+ Used TCPA or TCPB

& Used TCPA, TCPB or TCPC

Used DTRA, DTRE, DTRF, DTRH, DTRI (wich MCUB) or ECTA

DTM 5/8 (can be equipped) as DIAM with DIAA in pos of TERX, and AMEA in pos of
TCPX takink into account the maximum number of DIAM per TSU is 2. (traffic reason)

< Used TERI or TERA

$ Used TERI, TERA, MCUA or MCUB

∆ Used TERI, TERA, MCUA, MCUB or MCUC

PBA–MCUC is supported from SKR7.4 onwards.

boards has to be placed on location 15 for CCM1 or location 47 for CCM2

The TCPA printed board of 1MB on the NSVM15 backpanel can only be used for maximum 768 KB.

2.2. Converter applications

The following converter types can be used from technical point of view:

& : Only to be used if the powered module is equipped with PBA–TERA/PBA–MCUX and PBA–SWCH
(from variant ADAA onwards).
$ ; Only to be used if the powered module is equipped with PBA–TERA.
# : Only to be used if the powered module is equipped with PBA–MCUX.

Dependent on each market strategy fixed by program management the actual used converter type has
to be evaluated and chosen from the table above (E . G . most cost effective conv type or a common type
to reduce spare pool).
