Study the pie charts above and answer the questions which follow.

2.1 ANNEXURE A shows the tax rates for individuals for the 2019/2020 tax
year. Steven, 66years old, earned a taxable income of R1 398 120 per year.
He made a monthly contribution towards a medical aid for himself, his wife
and two children.
Use the information above and on ANNEXURE A to answer the following
questions:

2.1 Calculate Steven’s total medical scheme tax credits for a month. (3)

2.2 Steven claimed that his annual income tax is more than R460 000.

Verify, by showing all calculations whether his claim is valid. (6)

3.1 Toxic Waste is a line of sour candies. The Toxic Waste candy is packed in
novelty drum containers, each holding 16 pieces of sour candy that come in
five different flavours.

Study the drum container below and answer the questions that follow.

3.1.1 What is the height of the drum container in centimetres? (2)

3.1.2 What is the radius of the circular top of the drum container? (2)

3.1.3 Determine the volume of the drum container, to the nearest whole cm3.

The following formula may be used:

3.2 Below is a wrapper for a rectangular Cherry Chew Bar.

Use the information above to answer the questions that follow.
