Introduction A report on Hotel Management Training Program at Hashoo Foundation has been requested by the management of Hashoo Foundation to get the feedback from the students; in order to gauge the learnings of the students and to make improvements in the training program. The information was acquired through observation and informal class discussions during the one month training program. Findings Almost all the students learned the essentials of a presentation, formal and business Letter writing and how to construct a Resume along with a covering letter. Students understood the protocols followed in the hotel industry specifically in Housekeeping, Food and Beverages and Front Office departments. Most of the students acquired the basic skills of MS Word and MS excel. They learned how to make formal reports and how salary sheets of the employees are managed. Students are not satisfied of how the administration has been managing things. Most of the times the trainers from the hotels were late or absent. There was a misconception on the trainers part that most of them had an impression that we are the students of Hotel operations; so they taught us accordingly. As we are the students of Hotel management most of the things were irrelevant. Conclusion Overall the students satisfaction level was average. There is quite a difference in skills to what students had before and what they have now. The only concerns were from the Management side as things didnt go according to the course outline. The students are enthusiastic to start the hands on training as soon as possible. Recommendations The foundation should: Schedule things according to the course outline so that they can follow it properly. Have a pre-class session with trainers in order to guide them properly about the audience. Teach Opera in ICT as it is one of the basic tools used in Hotel to keep the record of the guest.
