participants
Deviant Point of view of different stakeholders
FGD - Comfort level and availability of all participants at a
particular

Challenges
Reaching out

- Starting of semester
Commit to time for interview

- Semi structured individual
- Semi structured Focus Group Discussion

Overlap of observation and interview

- Emergent interview questions from observation and vice
versa

Reason
- Observation -Recce of existing scenario

Reflections

Started with enquiry into current scenario of waste

management measures already in place and issues faced.
Got many inputs on past measures taken, challenges faced
and suggestive measures for future.
Mixed response when it came to roles and responsibilities of
different stakeholders
Administration hesitant to take ownership.
Not a priority for all stakeholders, lack of awareness among
shop owners
Discrepancy between observation and data collected from
interview probably due to timing
Water wastage came up which was not a parameter in
question but was a general concern.
Workshop reuse waste generated.
Students very eager to pitch in, but expect support from both
faculty and administration
Concern about short term measures not sustaining
