Magic Radio Planning

Agenda

1 1800M DBE Radio Planning

1800M DBE Test Zone

Test Zone
GSM Sites
Buffer Zone
LTE1800 Sites

 The test area is in small town, and there 10 sites in test zone and 13 sites in buffer zone.
 For total 23 sites, 9 sites have the colocated FDD1800 sites.

Buffer Zone – Why & How
Why we need Buffer Zone

 After Magic Radio deployment, GSM and LTE will have

strong interference if they use the same frequency;
 The Magic Radio area and the buffer area can use
same mode in same frequency;
 The buffer area and common commercial area outside
can use same mode in same frequency.

Buffer Zone

How to plan the Buffer Zone

 Fully use the terrain landform to form effective block, such as mountains, hills, ravines, etc;
 The width of buffer zone is around >=4D ( D is the site distance)

Capacity Analysis
Cell Configuration Required Network Configuration with DBE
 In buffer zone, after refarming the G1800 band will  GSM : Static 5.4MHz + Dynamic 5MHz
reudce from 10.4M to 8M (40 ARFCN);
 LTE : Static 5MHz+ Dynamic 5MHz
 In trail zone, after refarming the G1800 band still
10.4M; GSM 5.4M GSM 2.5M LTE 10MHz GSM 2.5M

 So we need analyze the G1800 configuration in
