DICTION MEANING

CLARITY AND SIMPLICITY


CONCISION

Diction meaning in its original primary meaning,
refers to the writer´s or the speaker’s distinctive
vocabulary choices and style of expression in a
poem or story. A secondary, common meaning of
diction means the distinctiveness of speech, the art
of speaking so that each word is clearly Heard and
understood to its fullest complexity and extremity
and concerns pronunciation and tone rather than
word choice and style.
CLARITY
People talk about good writing having clarity when it is
precise, clean, and easy to understand.
THE PROCESS OF COMMUNICATION STARTS WITH THE
SENDER AND THUS THE SENDER HAS TO BE CLEAR BOTH
IN THOUGHT AND EXPRESSION , IN ORDER TO
COMMUNICATE EFFECTIVELY .
CLARITY OF THOUGHT

Before communicating , the sender should have clear thought for which he
should be clear in following three points :

 What is objective of communication ?

 What actual message is ?

 Which is suitable medium for achieving the purpose ?


CLARITY OF EXPRESSION

The sender transmits the message through a medium to the


receiver , for which he has to encode the message in a way
that it is.
• Clear communication skills are important to everyone, and
clarity isn't just about content and pronunciation. It's about
caring for the listener and making sure they get the message.
Failure to speak clearly has serious implications for your
personal image and professional success. Clear communication
will improve your speech, your career prospects and your
relationships.
Clarity is considered when we think
about content, structuring our thoughts
in a logical sequence and choosing the
CLARITY right words. We even acknowledge the
importance of things like projection,
pronunciation and diction. But good
communication skills require more
than just language. You need more
than just your mouth and your brains.
SIMPLICITY
 IT IS THE NATURALITY OF THE STYLE THAT SEIZES IT FROM ANY
AFFECTION OR REBUSCATION.
 BOTH IN GOOD CLOTHING AND SPEAKING OR WRITING, WE REMEMBER
THAT MANY TIMES, LESS IS MORE.
-Concision consists of formulating a
thought with the least number of
words, without subtracting clarity or
precision. Using a language at the
level of the listener or reader will give
extra points.
