Teaching Strat 2 LP

This lesson plan outlines a lesson on the life cycle of egg-laying animals using chickens as an example. The objectives are for students to identify what is found inside a chicken egg, determine the stages of development of a chicken egg, and appreciate how the life cycle applies to reality. Students will observe and compare raw chicken eggs, hardboiled eggs, and fertilized eggs nearly ready to hatch in order to understand the development process. They will then learn the stages of a chicken egg developing into a chick by watching a video. Finally, students will apply their new knowledge by drawing the parts of an egg.
