NOUNS • the name of person, place, thing or idea. VERBS expresses action or being. PRONOUNS a word used in place of a noun. ADJECTIVES modifies or describes a noun or pronoun. ADVERB modifies or describes a verb, an adjective, or another adverb. CONJUNCTION joins words, phrases, or clauses. PREPOSITION a word placed before a noun or pronoun to form a phrase modifying another word in the sentence. INTERJECTION word used to express emotion.
