HISTORY OF AUTO CAD
 Auto cad software was firstly launched by AUTODESK
company in Dec. 1982.
 It comes in india in 1988.
 The first version of auto cad was R1 after that
R2,R3,R4........and so on.
 In 2000,Autodesk launched a version of AutoCAD 2000
after that 2001,2002....so on.
 This time, we have the latest version of AutoCAD is
2020,launched on March27th2019.

LIMITS
AutoCad screen is infinite in nature in all
directions but as a user we do not need
entire screen we just need a rectangular
area so, setting limit is defined as a process
of defining a rectangular area from a
infinite screen to perform drafting and
modelling
In limit we define upper right and lower left
corner
Creating Lines
 In creating lines we have ortho mode
When ORTHOMODE is turned on, the
cursor can move only horizontally or
vertically relative to the UCS and the
current grid rotation angle
With the help of line and ortho
mode i have created this
BASIC SHAPES

 Arc(3P,SC end, SC length).


 Polyline.
 Rectangles, Polygons, and Ellipses
 Circle (CR,CD,2P,3P,TTR,TTT).
MODIFYING COMMANDS
1.Erase
Erase command Select from modify toolbar and it is used for the erase of
select unnecessary segments of drawing

2.Move
It is used to move object from one location to another

3.Extend
Extend the lines to meet the other edge of the objects.

4.Offset
It is used to to create similar objects with specified distance such as parallel lines,
concentric circles and parallel lines.

5.Copy
If we want to create same objects into more than one then copy command should be
used
6.Mirror
This tool is used for creates a mirrored copy of selected objects.

7.Array
Select the array command from the modify toolbar and it is distributes objects copies
into any combination of columns, rows and levels

8.Rotate
By using this command rotate the selected objects around a base point to an absolute
angle.

9.Scale
Scale command is used for reducing (or) enlarging the selected objects but it is keeping
same proposition of the object after scaling. Scaling is the process of adjusting the
drawing sizes with same prepositions.

10.Trim
It is used to erase unwanted objects by selecting boundaries
11.Chamfer
A chamfer connects two objects
With angled line in 2D

12.Fillet
A fillet connects two object
With a tangent arc in 2D
