Identify the compound words in each sentence and
tell whether if it is a one-word compound, two-word
compound, or a hyphenated compound word.
1. The ladybugs landed on a leaf one early morning.

wanted to fight with it.

How do we arrange words alphabetically?
 To alphabetize a list of words or names,
you start by placing them in A-B-C order
according to the first letter of each
word.
 If you have two or more words that begin
with the same letter, you will look at
the second letter. Ask yourself: “Which of
the second letters comes first in the
alphabet? If the first and second letters
are the same, proceed to the third
letters.

Go around the room to hunt for classmates
who fit the given descriptions. Let them sign
their nicknames or first name in the boxes.
When you have completed filling in the boxes,
arrange in alphabetical order the gathered
names of your classmates who signed in each
boxes. Shout “GOTCHA” if done in the activity.
The first group to finish will be the winner.
