Power Point 1.1

The study aimed to understand the effects of research subjects on the intellectual aspects of senior high school students. Specifically, it examined the effects on social life, family, and academic performance. Quantitative data found that research most strongly affects students' school performance, while qualitative findings indicated that it can cause stress and depression by filling students' minds. The study concluded that balancing the difficulty of research and allowing time for rest is important to avoid negative impacts. It recommended limiting research demands and supporting students to manage their time and emotions.

The Effects of Research Subject to the

Intellectual Aspect of Senior High School

Student of Fernandez College of Arts
and Technology
Chapter 1
The Problem and It’s Background
Introduction
Introduction
• Research is a careful understanding/study regarding a
particular concern or problem with the use of scientific
method. We choose this topic because we realized that many
students nowadays are suffering from stress because of all the
hard projects they're doing for this subject. A study shows
that many students are having a hard time learning because
of all the activities and projects from this subject because
they need to prepare a lot of things just to have successful
projects.
Statement of the Problem
• Statement of the problem. This study aim to know what is the effect of research subject to
the intellectual aspects of senior high school students. Specifically, it will seek answer to the
following
• 1. How does research affects student intellectual
• 2. What are the effects of research subject in the following:
• 2.1. Social life
• 2.2. Family
• 2.3. Academic performance
Scope and Delimitation

The focus of this study is to know the effects

of research subject to the intellectual aspect of
senior high school students.
Significance of the Study

Students- provide students some knowledge about

how they can manage their stress.
Teachers- the given data would guide the teachers on
what they need to do.
Chapter 2
Theoretical Framework
Review of Related Literature

• According to (wheeler 2007) stress is physics term

which refers to the amount of pressure used on an
object it commune in real life as to how certain
issues that carry pressure applied to human
memory
•According to Andrew
Matthew, student have a
unique cluster of stressful
experiences.
Review of Related Studies

• Study from San Antonio University in Texas shows

that ¾ of the senior high school student rushes
from one end of the campus to the other, trying to
make it to their next class on time .
• According to the study of John K. Perilya
and Allan P. Jung, combining a research
component along with the sound
academic foundation allows students to
develop independent critical reading and
thinking skills with oral and written
communication skills.
• According to George Easel and Patrick
Owosso, stress has become the one
reported impediment to academic
performance.
• The surveys conducted by Kansas State
University reveals that 58% increase in
stress related mental health issues
reported to campus counselors between
1988 to 2001.
Conceptual Framework

• This chapter presents the related literature and studies

after thorough and in-depth search done by the
researchers. This will also present the synthesis of
conceptual framework to fully understand the research to
be done and lastly the definition of terms for better
comprehension of the study.
Definition of Terms

• Intellectual- An intellectual is a person who

engages in critical thinking, research, and reflection
about society, propose solutions for its normative
problems, and gains authority as a public figure.
Chapter 3
Research Mythology
Research Design

• This study used on mixed method. This design was

chosen because it helped to have a deeper understanding
of factors that’s affecting the academic performance and
the intellectual aspects of senior high school students,
because of the research subject. This study relied on
mixed qualitative quantitative methods.
• Qualitative research is a type of research is a type
of naturalistic inquiry process that seeks deeper
understanding of social phenomenon within their
natural setting. Qualitative research focuses on the
“why” rather than “what” of a phenomena and
relies on the direct experiences of human being as
meaning making agent in their everyday lives.
• Quantitative research is any data that
is in numerical form as statistics,
percentages, etc. The researches used
the quantitative research to know how
many population.
Chapter 4
Presentation, Analysis, and
Interpretation of Data
Presentation of Data

• This statement “its help you for your future

profession gain the highest mean of 4.79 was
described as strongly agree”. According to the
research study this is important for the students for
there future profession especially for the students
that want to work in office.
Analysis

• This question is "its help you think faster"

got 4.21 mean was described strongly
agree.
Interpretation and Discussion
• Working on a research project will obviously
challenging and rewarding experiences. To put
the best expertise and skills. When the
students are doing there research study we
need to have some detailed to have a proven
about their topic.
Chapter 5
Summary, Conclusion, and
Recommendation
Summary of Findings

• The researchers got the highest mean of 4.86

in item statement It affects the students
school performance. And got the lowest mean
of 4.14 in Item statement Students are
becoming anti social.
Conclusion
• Based on our research some students say that research subject is
helpful to them and to their future they said that it give them
more knowledge to face every problem that they encounter in the
future but on the other side some students disagree to that
because some of them suffer in stress and depression cause of
research subject they don’t manage their emotion because their
mind is full of stress and thought.
Recommendation

• For students - it is only appropriate to limit

their ability to make the research subject a
little bit easy and for them to not to affect
their performance in other subjects.
• For parents - For them to support
their children ans help them to do
their projects and assignments.
• For teachers - For them to pay attention
to their student's abilities, they also
should focus on the students who is
having a hard time learning.
• For researchers - Please continue this
research to learn more details on how the
students can manage their time on doing
their projects in order for them to had
some time to rest.
