Tiers of Business Analysis
Planning Strategically - The analysis of the
organization's strategic business needs
Operating/Business Model Analysis - The definition and
analysis of the organization's policies and market
business approaches
Process Definition and Design - The business process
modeling (often developed through process modeling
and design)
IT/Technical Business Analysis - The interpretation of
business rules and requirements for technical systems
(generally IT)

Business Analysis is one of the most important steps
in developing a software solution.

 It is crucial in identifying the business needs of


customers and other stakeholders in order to determine
appropriate solutions to their business problems.

IT business analysis responsibilities can reside in


various corporate functions and departments, such as
operations, product development, information systems
and finance.
Business Analyst
A person who analyzes the operations of a department
in order to develop a solution to its problems.

The job of business analyst also can fall under many


different titles:
 Business systems analyst
 Computer systems analyst
 Information systems analyst
 Systems analyst
Business Analyst
The business analyst's primary responsibilities are
gathering requirements for designing business
information systems, modifying systems to improve
production or workflow, deploying new applications or
expanding systems to serve new purposes.

Information technology plays an important role in easily solving
the mathematical problems and also in the project management
system.
