Coca Cola Company continually updates its

inventory records to account for additions to and
subtractions from inventory for such activities as
received inventory items, goods sold from stock, and
items picked from inventory for use in the production
process. Perpetual inventory is by far the preferred
method for tracking inventory of the Coca Cola
Company, since it can yield reasonably accurate results
on an ongoing basis.

Coca Cola Company had set guidelines in choosing

their supplier through what they called Supplying
Guiding Principles or SGP. The SGP emphasize the
importance of responsible workplace practices that

applicable environmental and local labor laws and core
international conventions. The Supplier Guiding Principles
is aligned with Human Rights Policy and reflects in Coca
Cola’s commitment in respecting human rights across
their business system and global supply chain.
TECHNOLOGY USED

1. Machineries and Robots

Bottle and can processing
High-tech machinery at
Wakefield enables cans to be
produced faster than the eye can
see. The plant is capable of
producing up to 4,000 330ml cans
minute and 3,280 bottles –
ranging from 500ml to 3L – of soft
drinks a minute across nine
lines.
The factory also boasts the
fastest bottle production line in
the world.
TECHNOLOGY USED

2. Greener Bottle
Coca-Cola introduced greener
bottles and packaging in 2009,
producing 2.5 billion of their products
using less petroleum. The practice has
been so successful that other
companies, such as Heinz, have
harnessed this technology to create
greener packaging as well. While the
2009 production represents only three
percent of Coca-Cola's packaging, the
movement continues to grow, as
billions of cases of Coca-Cola
products are shipped globally each
year.
LAY OUT USED

The Coca Cola Company uses Product Lay out production system
where there are work stations and equipment located along the line of
production, as with assembly lines. Work units are moved along a line or
interconnected work stations. The different work stations are the following:

• Ingredient Delivery • Coding

• Washing and Rinsing • Inspection
• Mixing and Blending • Packaging
• Filling • Warehousing
• Capping & delivery
• Labeling

The Coca Cola Company retained the No. 3 position on Interbrand’s esteemed
annual ranking of most valuable global brands. Coke’s 2014 brand value is
estimated at $81.6 billion, up 3 percent from 2013, and continually boosting in
2015. But, aside from profit Coca Cola tend to also focus valuing the following;

FINDINGS

b. Employees and Associates. The Coca-Cola Company believes that their long-term

success depends upon ensuring the safety of their workers. The following are some of
the measures they used to promote safety:
1. Improving Route-to-Market Safety. Improving route-to-market safety remains
a key priority for the Company. Route-to-market, or RTM, is defined as the
movement of products and people between their bottling plants and
customers. In 2014 and 2015, they continued RTM safety workshops in areas
experiencing higher rates of vehicle-related incidents, such as Ghana, South
Africa, Azerbaijan, Turkey, the Philippines and Costa Rica. The workshops are
designed to share best practices and build real solutions in areas including
route risk management, driver training and vehicle inspection and
maintenance.
2. Quality, Safety & Environment (QSE) Professional Excellence Program
is an intensive training and development program focused on field
development.
3. QSE College provides online quality, safety and environmental training for
business units of the Company as well as bottling partners globally.
FINDINGS

c. Customers and Communities. Coca Cola value their

customers by providing products that meet their needs. They also
give initiatives in valuing life. In communities, Coca Cola had this
Coca-Cola Foundation that supports many local community
programs such as arts and culture, community and economic
development programs. The foundation also respond to offer
emergency reliefs in case of disasters and calamities.
CONCLUSION

We didn’t find any problem with Coca Cola Company.

As an established and experienced company, we can say
that Coca Cola had set their position in the beverages
industry. To maintain this position, all they have to do is to
continuously innovate, adopt and meet the changing
technology and needs and demand of their consumers.
