Objectives

The document outlines the objectives of studying migration patterns from three villages in rural India. It analyzes factors influencing migration such as employment opportunities, income sources, access to electricity and healthcare, and social status. The data shows that male villagers migrate more than females, and members of the OBC social group migrate the most. Fewer employed members and school-going children remain in villages with higher levels of migration. The document recommends implementing the PURA (Providing Urban Facilities in Rural Areas) scheme to minimize rural-to-urban migration by enhancing access to healthcare, education, electricity, employment, and transportation in the villages.

Recommendation :

PURA YOJANA
PURA stands
 for Providing Urban Facilities in Rural Areas.
This scheme focuses on the ways to minimize migration of rural people from rural area to
urban area.
This can be done by various ways-
Health care sector- Opening of hospitals, clinics
Education- opening of schools, colleges
Electricity- supply of reliable and quality power of specified standards in an efficient
manner and at a reasonable rate.
Employment- Not just labour extensive but also labour intensive job opportunities is needed
so that standard of living is improved.
Transport facility- A better road connectivity is needed in rural areas
Animal husbandry- For the sake of animals, animal husbandry should be opened so that
proper care is taken.

Suggestion :

Since migration is having a major impact in these 3

villages, we can try and implement this scheme in
these 3 villages. If we want to stop migration then we
need to bring the schools , colleges, hospitals , jobs in
the village.
“Everyone believes that villages, which are close to
nature are most beautiful place to live provided the
basic facilities are there but the way this definition is
changing now ,we need to bring a small change and
this scheme can help us with realizing that dream.”
