INTRODUCTION

Industrial training is a practical training of 1 month in industry, which

includes activities like knowing organizational setup , knowing the
various computer components and its related software, knowing the
trouble shooting of various peripherals , sequential arrangement of
different equipment , knowing the various networking methods.
DEPARTMENTS IN RG-1
1. Information Technology department (IT).
2. Personnel department.
3. Purchase department.
4. Safety department.
5. Survey department.
6. Civil department.
7. Quality department.
8. Estates department.
9. Finance & Accounts department.
10. Electrical & Mechanical department.
11. Industrial Engineering department (IED).
ROLE OF IT IN RG-1

• The main functions of this department are payroll preparation and

hardware & software maintenance.

• Generate the attendance of area workshop, stores, CSP and area

hospital in SAP.

• On 28th of every month all the mines generate flat file and sent to
the IT department and then payrolls were printed.

• Monthly flat files means it contains the musters, PHP, PD, play day,
Over time, acting etc.
NETWORK AREA CHART
SOFTWARES USED IN RG-1

 Adobe Reader

 Symantec

 MS Office

 Visual Basic

 Radwin

 Oracle

 SAP
VIRTUAL PRIVATE NETWORK (VPN)
• A VPN is network technology that creates a secure network
connection over a public network such as internet.

• A VPN secures the private

network, using encryption &
other security mechanisms so
that only authorized users can
access that network.

• The benefits of using VPN are secure browsing, malware protection

and it can hide your IP address from spammers & hackers and
provides online privacy.
REMOTE MONITORING & CONTROLLING
• A network management protocol that allows network information to be
gathered at a single computer.

•  You can monitor remote offices regardless of geographic location.

•  IT staff in other offices can monitor the network in real time.
• Access levels can be managed to ensure security.
• Save Time and Increase Efficiency.
MOTHERBOARD COMPONENTS
PRINTER
• A printer is any device that prints text or illustrations on paper.
• There are two types of printers.
1. Impact printers.
2. Non-Impact printers.
• Impact printers are of 6 types:
– Dot matrix printer
– Daisy-wheel printer
– Line printer
– Drum printer
– Chain Printer
– Band Printer
• Non Impact printers are of 2 types
– Laser printer
– Inkjet printer
TOPOLOGY
• In computer networking, topology refers to the layout of connected
devices. There are 6 types of network topologies.
1. Bus topology:
Every computer and network device is connected to single cable.

2. Star topology
All the computers are connected to a single hub through a cable.
3. Mesh topology
It is a point-to-point connection to other nodes or devices. All the
network nodes are connected to each other.

4. Ring topology
It forms a ring as each computer is connected to another computer,
with the last one connected to first.
5. Hybrid Topology
It is two different types of topologies which is a mixture of two or
more topologies.

6. Tree Topology
It has a root node and all other nodes are connected to it forming a
hierarchy. It is also called hierarchical topology. It should at least
have three levels to the hierarchy.
