Walkability of a campus is described as the measure of the extent to which it is comfortably designed in terms of
influencing factors such as the quality of pedestrian pathways, landscaping, shaded walkways, traffic, condition of
footpaths, figure-ground ratio, proximity to major landmarks, ease of access to buildings, safety, etc.

Mobility focuses on the vehicular accessibility of the campus, which include – bicycles, shuttle services,
e-rickshaws, bikes, cars, etc.

people in and out of the campus. They have low
fuel cost, emit less pollution and are a cheaper
option of transportation.
They are majorly made in India and can hence
support the national economy too.
Some E-Rickshaws also use solar power.
SEPARATE PATHWAYS
FOR EASY ACCESSIBILITY

Separate pathways should be included


for different purposes such as
pedestrian access, bicycles, vehicles
and if necessary, one for skateboarders
and skate scooters. The pathways
should also be well lit and have
aesthetic landscaping for better
walking experience.
