Here is a proposed innovation to address one of the key challenges identified:
Innovation Name: Team-Work
Feature: A collaborative learning platform that connects teachers, students, and parents to support distance learning.
Target Users: Teachers, students, and parents of Zamboanga del Sur School of Arts and Trades
Problem Statement: The current distance learning model lacks effective communication and engagement between teachers and students/parents, making it difficult to monitor learning progress and address issues in a timely manner.
Prototype: An online platform where teachers can post lesson materials and assignments, students can submit work and ask questions, and parents can view student progress reports. Teachers are assigned small groups of students to mentor. The platform also

MASTER TEACHER I ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR SCHOOL OF ARTS AND TRADES Feature • This pandemic has paved the way to the implementation of Modular Distance Learning as an urgent response to ensure continuity of education. An emerging trend educational thinking that shifts traditional method of instruction to an outcome-based learning paradigm. The Zamboanga del Sur School of Arts and Trades is still implementing this learning modality even our higher authority is allowing us to conduct limited face to face classes because we don’t have available room to cater the number of our enrollees if ever we insist to implement such learning modality. We are still waiting for the turn over date of our new building since that the old building is about to collapse and no longer safe for anyone to stay. This presentation aims to enumerate identified issues and concerns encountered by the teacher, parents and learners in the duration of the implementation of modular learning as modality of the school and come up with an idea for enrichment programs to minimize the occurrence of such problems to ensure a delivery of learning will not be put in to risk. • We believe that with the collaborative effort and full support of all persons involve in this enrichment program nothing will be impossible in attaining its purpose. Objectives
1. identified issues encountered
towards distance modular learning 2. suggest some ways to address the problem. Problem Statement • Student struggle with self-studying and parents lack of knowledge to academically guide their children. • Lack of school funding in the production and delivery of modules. • Problem on monitoring student learning and active involvement in the learning process because of many responsibilities of the teacher which include other functions like printing, sorting of modules, preparing weekly and monthly reports, retrieval modules. • Some learners are working while studying. • Communication failure Problem Statement • Confusion of students on the instructions indicated in the module • Limited Teacher guidance • Students’ on discourteous approach to teachers • Complaints on not understanding the module. • Late submission of modules • Incomplete responses on modular activities. • Students are reliant in the internet for answers. POINT OF VIEW ( POV) USER NEED INSIGHT Class Advisers -Address sentiments of teachers -Address accurately the problem Subject Teachers and learners. encountered. How-Might-We . . .? 1. Engage with learners and frequently. Kamustahan-Drop Box instead of conducting a weekly online kamustahan because majority of the parents could not access on the internert. - parents and learners are encourage to drop a note where they will write some concerns that they want to address to the teacher or fill in the feedback form about the learning progress of their children. - learners are ask to write a letter/note informing their teacher of the development of their learning. - The adviser should set a day in a week to read every note for monitoring and take an action if needed. How-Might-We . . .? 2. Modify activities which will suit to learners level of learning capabilities. All learners can learn but in different ways and time. They don’t learn in the same way. The activities might be easy for some but others are struggling to understand the instructions and in answering the questions in the modules. As teachers it our task to help them and provide them learning materials that suits for them. We should not forget that our main goal is make sure that our students are learning. How-Might-We . . .? 3. Create Teacher-Parent partnership for distance learning. Inform parents about their role in the learning process. 4. Provide feedback and appreciation Students are motivated to work better if they are appreciated. 5. Implement regular assessment and readiness check. regular assessment is a must to monitor learning performance of the students. Readiness check to know if learners are ready for another set of activities. Example : Pre-assessment . How-Might-We . . .? 3. Conduct Home-Visitation with constant follow up. In the conduct of home visitation advisers with the subject teacher must inform the parents and ask their consent about the conduct of such activity. Teacher must make an agreement with parents about the schedule of visitation and discuss with them its objectives. Home visitation should only be implemented for those parents who permit teachers to do so. Teacher must also observe the right to privacy of the family. For MOVs teachers may bring home visitation forms. Taking pictures if only allowed by the concern. Possible reason of home visitation: 1. Monitor students mental health and the learning performance of each learner while learning at home. 2. Interview parents about the difficulties they have encountered with the additional role given to facilitate learning at home. 3. Offer technical assistance. 4. Provide information of how teachers can be reach out for questions and assistance. Outcome -Reduce numbers of the identified problems encountered during the implementation of modular learning modality. -improve learning performance of the students -promotes good partnership among parents and the teachers of Zamboanga del Sur School of Arts and Trades.
