AND SECONDARY SCHOOLS TO ADOPT
POLICIESTO PREVENT AND ADDRESS THE
ACTS OF BULLYING IN
THEIR INSTITUTIONS
WHAT IS BULLYING?
• It refers to:
a)Any severe or repeated use
b)By one or more students
c)Of a written , verbal or electronic expression,
or a physical act or gesture,
or any
combination thereof
d)Directed at another student
TWO TYPES OF BULLYING
1. DIRECT BULLYING
 Involves physical and verbal
aggression.
2. INDIRECT BULLYING
 Involves relational or social
bullying.
VERBAL BULLYING
• Verbal bullying is using words in a
negative way such as to insults, teasing or
put downs, etc..
EXAMPLE OF BULLYING
• PUSHING • INFLICTING
• PUNCHING SCHOOL PRANKS
• KICKING • TORMENTING
• SLAPPING • ANY
• TICKLING SLANDEROUS
STATEMENT
• HEADLOCKS
• NAME CALLING
CYBER BULLYING
• Cyber bullying is done by sending
messages, pictures, or information
using electronic media, computers
(email & instant messages), or cell
phones (text messaging &
voicemail).

Tips to help out the victim of Bullying
• Talk to your parents or an adult you can trust,
such as a teacher, school counselor, or principal.
ACT CONFIDENT. Hold your head up, stand up
straight, make eye contact, and walk confidently. A bully
will be less likely to single you out if your project self-
confidence.
